Ended up visiting the castle and going to the Cushion and Crown for some Sunday dinner which had mixed feelings on the Mac and cheese. Would definitely come to the area again and maybe stay at the same site, toilets were clean and the block was warm all night. Had a little shop with most necessities including BBQs and beer! Most people were quiet around 10pm and had no complaints about anyone including staff. Honestly, for the price, this site was definitely worth it and we would come again.

The motorhome ended up covered in bird poop and we had to clean it during the stay and before we could leave.
All in all definitely not the peaceful stay we planned.
The owners need to move crows on and not let them nest and roost in the trees ..

Thank you Martin. It's good to hear that you liked our site but a shame that the crows disturbed you. I imagine as the spring progresses whether you stay at the coast, in the woods, near fields or in the city the birds will all be singing about their offspring with pride, protecting them, warning them and even reprimanding them for bad behaviour. I'm sure when the fledglings have flown the nest they will be less vocal.
