The lakes were great

Felt we were on top of each other no private spaces , people left their rubbish out and was attacked by birds over night or early morning leaving the place full of rubbish , was their for 3 days and no soap in ladies and men’s toilets did complain to staff but only response was it’s being dealt with dirty toilets and showers witnessed the cleaner just standing their on his phone with mop in hand

Site operations management very good, plenty of security, vans driving round constantly collecting rubbish from you, daily checks on fire hydrants, litter pickers.
plenty to do for younger kids.

Lots of young drivers racing about the camping fields in there parents cars, not really a lot to do for older kids, food was mega expensive if you eat out (£20 for fish and chips).

I have been coming for a few years and this year the values for money and the face lift of the place ! Wow !

my children had the best time !
I come with a group of females and our children this is the first year we saw staff / security on site throughout the nite made you feel safe and valued!

The outside activities are brilliant for all the family and the meals are brilliant for families !

New toilet shower blocks everything clean and fresh!

The staff were lovely and some of the canal walks were scenic.
Camping pitches were spacious but I think that only because we pitched where no one else wanted to.
(On the corner of Shelduck 2 right by the showers and football/basketball pitch)

No marked out pitches, it was basically a free for all whether you had paid for electric or not.
The pink/purple shower and toilet block needs updating, one night we were stood in 2 inches of someone else’s rancid shower water while taking a shower. There is no temperature control on the showers either, so either it’s going to be cold or hotter than an erupting volcano. The toilets were frequently running out of toilet paper and messy but that is down to people being lazy and not cleaning up after themselves, the cleaners were fighting a losing battle.
More shower/toilet blocks are definitely needed at the other end of the touring and camping field as I found human faeces and soiled toilet tissue among the wild flowers where the fishing spots were. Lots of dogs faeces on that part and also the canal path because people obviously cannot pick up their own dogs mess, which is gross when there are a lot of kids running around.
Very noisy, lots of kids and adults screaming and playing loud music into the early hours of the morning. Boy racers revving their little corsa’s and blasting out loud music trying to impress the ladies, like they are some kind of stud out of love island. (Trust me, playing Ed Sheeran will get you nowhere, not even with the most desperate of ladies) People not sticking to the campsite speed limit and beeping horns at all hours.
We didn’t use the entertainment facilities as apparently you have to book the swimming weeks in advance. Not great if you have booked last minute.

The plot size and availability was good, with toilets nearby.

Lack of onsite shop products, and general light lunch options. Often no hand soap in both male and female toilets.
Toilets in male side were often unclean, more regular check ins needed.

There was always something for my daughters to do, they enjoyed every moment considering it was there first time camping, there was plenty of choices

I can honestly say there was nothing myself or my children disliked

Activities for older children axe throwing and the lake swimming

Pods were super tiny. 4 people and a dog was too crowded… no one could roll over or side sleep. The description needs to warn that kids over 8/9 will be too big.
