We couldn’t use levelling blocks on motorhome gravel pitch as it just wheel spun and dug a hole.

The kids loved the BMX track, the swimming pool and the open air stage.
There is more to do here to bring it fully back to its former glory but I don't think you would be disappointed if you went there now!
It is a large site and as such if its busy it can be quite noisey.

However it was not even close to being level! Looking around none seemed level. We needed ramps to level ourselves.
Not a big deal, but most sites if we have booked hardstanding it is level.

There was a foul smell of stagnant water / sewage (especially by the carvery and chippy) throughout the whole place for the whole weekend

Traduci (Creato tramite Google Translate)Mi è piaciuto: Alot of money has been spent on creating an outdoor cinema amphitheatre and venue which contained a restaurant, bar, fish n chip takeaway and coffee shop also selling ice cream and cakes.
Lots of new activities, Cinema and amphitheatre are free lots to keep kids occupied plus pool with flume. There is a train around the lake and a clubhouse and amusements opposite side of main lake. Kids are throwing and the quad cycle hire was great fun.
Lots of space for camping on the non ehu field. Staff friendly and helpful but new so not always knowledgable but trying hard.
Non mi è piaciuto: Problems with drains... they did get someone out to sort it but one toilet block closed twice over 3 night stay. Need more toilets and showers for the size of camping fields. Two blocks to share between 5 areas.
Booking for pool via apple app or que to book on paper so 1st 2 days fully booked. Queuing for flume at bottom on stairs wastes time and young kids go up stairs on own. Would be better if parents could walk to top of stairs with kids.
Change over in pool changing rooms of people coming and going is manic. We went swim ready with toweling ponchos on to make transition easier.
