And a little bonus of farm cat teddy keeping us company throughout and overseeing all operations!

Dean was very welcoming and extremely helpful. Couldn't do enough for you. We were able to book online and turn up to site all within an hour.
Washroom, showers and toilets built in and around the barns and courtyard.
Quiet and basic farm based site that provided a great one night stop off for us on our trip around Wales.

Non mi è piaciuto Temporary toilet facilities rather than permanently built whilst the camp develops. Not a big issue. (Minus 1 star).

Mi è piaciuto Absolutely spotless site, hot showers, wash area, toilets literally everything you need was there. Dean was a fantastic host and was always there or reachable to answer any questions we had. Beautiful views and a lovely quiet site. Would highly recommend.

Mi è piaciuto Dean couldn't be more helpful as a host. Let us choose a different area from where I had originally booked and kindly let us unpack close to where we were camping for the night so we didn't have to lug all of our stuff over the field. Only one other set of campers in the field we were in so it was lovely and peaceful! The facilities are really good - didn't make use of the shower but the toilets are plentiful and kept very clean! Wash room is good as well with all the equipment needed to wash your plates and bowls etc. If you need to you can hire firepits, portable chargers, any of the extra bits you might have forgotten. We also had the very friendly farm cat Teddy come and say hello to us every time we went to the barns - he was one of the highlights of the stay! The views are amazing and it's not on a busy road. Lovely place to just get away from it all. Will definitely be coming again, thank you Dean!

Mi è piaciuto The location was perfect for visiting the nearby aqueducts. It was also a really lovely camping spot over looking the field, with lots of birds around.

Booked as a last-minute trip with a friend and couldn't have picked a better place.

Dean was incredibly welcoming and took the time to show us around, helping us choose the perfect pitch rather than just allocating one. Great facilities with everything you need, clean and well-maintained portaloos, washing-up areas, fire pits for hire!
The fields have such stunning views and beautiful surroundings, the hosts have set it up so well. We can see why people would want to get married there too with the rustic feel, stunning fields with the trees, stream and views!

The site is easy to find, close to shops and within easy reach of Wrexham and Llangollen too! The hosts were friendly, accommodating and made us feel genuinely welcome throughout our stay.

Bonus points for Teddy the farm cat, who is probably the friendliest campsite companion you'll ever meet!!

Would definitely stay again and highly recommend! My photos do no justice apologies but take our word for it.

Mi è piaciuto Super peaceful. We were lucky enough to pitch up when it was super quite so had the facilities to ourselves for much of our stay.

Mi è piaciuto It was a last minute booking , the site owner was very helpful on the phone .
The area we wanted to camp our VW T5 camper van was on the top of a hill with great views . The owner said in wet weather it could be difficult to access but he assured us it would be ok for the VW we meet him as we pulled up in the yard , he showed us around the facilities, said he would be around if we had any problems …and he was right..we had no problems getting up the grass on the hill .
We chose our own location on the hill top with distant views out across a daisy yellow field . The owner called by once we had settled in to make sure we were all good and nothing needed .
There were path ways mown through the daisy fields down to the main facilities down by the farm house giving easy walking access . The facilities were perfectly clean and tidy . We had a small dog with us and walking was great fun for the dog along the path ways mown through the daisy fields .
As the sun set and the stars took over we sat in chairs outside with a beer in hand watching the views fade out but the moon shone bright and the owls in the wood land behind the van began the night shift with low calls across the darkened fields and hedgerows. We sat and talked , marvelled at the view of the stars so clear here with no light pollution, with owls calling and bats darting overhead and more beers to help the imagination of the distant universe.
The night became still and the midnight passed , we abandoned the chairs closed the doors on the van and tucked up for the night , so peaceful on top of the world.

The next morning came softly through the curtains and we opened the doors to a wonderful sunrise with the daisys bursting into colour a vibrant gold. The blackbirds and skylarks had taken over from the night creatures and the day was on us .
It was then. My wife began to sob …she had noticed the diamond from her gold engagement ring was missing , 45 years it had been on her finger , with her every second of the days ..it was gone. We looked slowly around the field seemed huge now , without limit , where would we even start looking , we had walked all the paths with the dog the night before , it was hopeless , but we tried.
With each slow step heads down looking at the blades of grass we knew it would never be found.
So if you camp there , look at the views and the night sky and see a flash of bright light in the grass , it’s not a fallen star but a lost diamond returned to the earth from where it started millions of years ago . It carries hopes and happy memories .

Mi è piaciuto Plenty of space and Dean takes a lot of time planning out pitches so every gets the right space. The hosts were so friendly with a lively welcome. The site itself is clean with beautiful views. Plenty of space for my dog.
As a solo female traveller I felt very safe.
