Mi è piaciuto This visit was a return overnight stay. I felt very welcomed on arrival and the pitch was absolutely perfect for my circumstances. A shady spot near to facilities as I had a three legged dog with me! The glade was so peaceful and I sat and watched butterflies, dragonflies and birds, with a surprise deer sighting.
The site was immaculate, all the staff were very friendly and the shop was very well stocked. Dog friendly and plenty of options for walking. The phone chargers were a lifeline!

Great location, some lovely staff but not all

Mi è piaciuto The location is wonderful and we received a very friendly welcome at the gate from Sarah. She was lovely despite the intense heat and being no doubt very tired as it was late afternoon, extremely helpful and informative.
Non mi è piaciuto The showers - the water temperature was far too hot, this was nothing to do with the fact that it was about 30 degrees outside. The water was too hot for me to fully go under the shower. As I am an adult this was a concern as I can imagine that there is no way a child could withstand it.
I did ask in the shop if they could regulate the temperature but the chap said no, it is how it is. To be honest I felt he was very offhand and I said to him that I was sure he had been asked it many times which he said he had - so I wondered why if this was so why nothing has been done about it.

Mi è piaciuto Clean facilities. Love that the shop has frozen water bottles for the cooler. I wish all sites did this. Ponies always next to the site to see though they didn’t look very well, apparently they had some sort of flu. Ground was very hard to pitch in so you may need rock pegs.
The guy in the shop was really nice.
Non mi è piaciuto We pitched next to some tape which we thought was just there to say you can’t pitch there, but it was for a massive group of teenagers who were up at 6am and walking right by our tent. It would have been useful to be told that so we could pitch somewhere else.
No phone signal/internet so couldn’t listen to music or watch a movie in the evening.
Despite telling them I had an access pass to be near toilets I couldn’t get anywhere near the toilets. It was confusing where I could/couldn’t pitch. It would have been useful for someone to show me. I also wanted to be near toilets as a single parent.
