Mi è piaciuto Large open space, relaxed atmosphere. We stayed in Pond Field which feels very remote/wild, just a toilet block and cold water, which is exactly what we were looking for. Field was well kept and tidy. Very good access to local walks and pubs.

Mi è piaciuto The ladies, Sarah and Julie (sorry if wrong) who greeted us were friendly and welcoming. Informative about our stay and amenities. Chatted with them both a couple of times during our stay and they came to our rescue with the loan of a chair!

Showers were amazing , super hot and never a queue.

Toilets plentiful and kept clean throughout our stay, im sure julie cleans them every hour or so..

We will definitely be back.. loved the old farm vehicles throughout their site too

Non mi è piaciuto Check-in required at farm-site. More clear signs required if you are heading to pond site, to show you need to check in here first.
Entrance to the pond-site is easy to miss.
Woodland trail is a bit overlooked, needs some trimming and a bit of repair so children can enjoy it.

Mi è piaciuto Spacious and choice of fields. Owner took genuine interest in the camping experience provided and avoidance of disruptive guests. Toilet facilities in Pond Field was dated, but cleaned multiple times in the day.
Wheeler's Wagon cafe at the entrance also added to convenience.

Non mi è piaciuto Under Gatwick approach path when wind from the east. Noticeable, but not overly intrusive.

Mi è piaciuto Very warm welcome, fabulous breakfast from the on site Wagon (great produce, price and freshly cooked).
Very good VFM as solo guest as charged per person.

The addition of the cafe/coffee shop is a blessing.
The team/owners were so helpful, friendly and kind during our mini crisis (flat car battery)

Non mi è piaciuto This is our second and sadly last visit to the site after returning following a nice first trip back in May. Things were unfortunately not as good this time round.
We felt the facilities were not well maintained and the site / no. of pitches seemed to be oversold for the weekend. The noise went on late into the night both evenings we stayed. There were kids screaming and shouting going on until 1 am on Friday, which then started up again at 6 am on Saturday + Sunday mornings so not a good sleep at all. Others around us were also getting really fed up and saying it's starting to go down hill sadly. We tried to just get on with it as we were out for the day Saturday but we came back Saturday PM to find the field even busier with a family and two large tents set up practically on top of our camp, with no consideration of space.
We had to speak to management about the issue and they were really nice but there really wasn't a lot that could be done, ( only real option being that we move) due to the fact they had already squeezed two tents and two cars next to our camp and set up. I feel there needs to be someone present on site enforcing space between pitches when checking in if you have a busier than usual weekend. We both felt really uncomfortable and disappointed by the experience and this morning packed up and vacated site by 8 am. I understand this is a family campsite but the noise went on and on and tents were so closely pitched you could hear everything. It's also a safety issue with fire pits etc. being set up so close to other people's tents. The other downfall as mentioned were the facilities, we found only one of four showers working for a few hours on Saturday morning with a queue of people waiting. The toilets on the Saturday night and Sunday morning were unfortunately very unpleasant and not sanitary.
