Gli ospiti lodano la posizione rurale splendida e tranquilla, ideale per osservare le stelle e rilassarsi nella vasca idromassaggio. Le sistemazioni sono accoglienti e ben attrezzate, con apprezzati gesti di benvenuto. Il lago per la pesca è un punto forte, ma il successo è diminuito. Segnalati problemi di Wi-Fi e ripostiglio. Mi è piaciuto Complimentary bread and milk, really enjoyed our stay it had everything we needed, hot tub is brilliant with lovely views of the sun setting. Was a really easy place to find and whitby is not far either.
Non mi è piaciuto Fishing was not good, could see the lake has lost water and was dyed blue/green, never had a bite, fished pellets, tried corn and worm with groundbaits, tried every peg and nothing, very bizzare.

Mi è piaciuto We had an absolutely great time very quiet and was amazing looking at the stars from the hot tub, the hut (the warren) met all of our requirements great base to look around the area pickering and the steam train to Whitby well worth a visit on site the fishing lake is well stocked we had carp to 11.5lb and a sturgeon to 12.8 and that's only the ones we managed to get in we had the lake to ourselves what a wonderful time.

Mi è piaciuto Honestly it was stunning, they left us a loaf of brea and a pint of milk which doesn't really sound like much but still.
The night sky was incredible (why we were there) and the hot tub so relaxing!
Non mi è piaciuto AC could've been better but it was during a heat wave... other than that they could use a bug zapper above the hot tub haha

Mi è piaciuto Our weekend at Middlehead Huts in Pickering turned out to be one of those trips you wish you could bottle up and replay whenever life gets busy.
I went with my son for a bit of fishing and some proper time away from screens, and it delivered exactly what we needed. From the moment we arrived, there was this calm, unhurried feeling—just fresh air, open water, and the kind of quiet you don’t realise you’ve been missing.
The huts themselves were simple but spot on, cosy, and well set up for a comfortable stay without losing that outdoorsy charm. Everything felt easy, which made it all the more relaxing.
Fishing-wise, it didn’t disappoint. We had a great time by the water, sharing a bit of friendly competition, and a few proud catches along the way. But honestly, it wasn’t even about how many fish we caught—it was the time together.
Evenings were just as good—winding down, enjoying the peaceful surroundings in the hot tub and feeling completely switched off from the usual rush.
If you’re looking for a place to reconnect—whether that’s with nature or just with someone important to you—Middlehead Huts is well worth it. We came back refreshed, a little sunburnt, and already talking about when we can go again.

Mi è piaciuto Enjoyed the tranquility and the woodland walks.
Enjoyed the hot tub.
Enjoyed the welcome pack of milk, bread, tea etc and the dressing gowns provided.
Pod was nice and cosy despite low temperatures outside.
Non mi è piaciuto Disappointed to find a dirty cup in the cupboard.
Limited supply of half rolls of kitchen roll and toilet roll.
Would have liked hooks to hang up wet coats as well as an outdoor weatherproof box to store muddy boots.
Hooks near hot tub would be useful for hanging dressing gowns.

Mi è piaciuto We loved every minute we were there. It was so peaceful, we were fortunate to have nice weather and a clear night sky, sitting in the hot tub with nothing but stars and the sound of nature. It was true awe.

Mi è piaciuto The location was amazing - peaceful, beautiful and yet near enough to local attractions to go out and explore in the car.
Hot tub was fab, and perfect for soaking tired legs after a day's walking.
Non mi è piaciuto WiFi signal not always good enough to stream tv consistently, and could be a bit more storage space created in the hut.
