Mi è piaciuto What an amazing location. Towards the end of a three week tour of Wales and the borders we honestly voted this our Number One stop.. Simple, well managed facilities alongside the lake with breathtaking views, the occasional fisherman casting his rod and even broods of baby ducks and goslings on our front lawn! Thank you New House Farm - We loved the Pound at Leebot Wood too. Just a short drive up the road with first rate bar snacks served all day too.

Mi è piaciuto Absolutely stunning setting, close to town centre and fantastic walks on the doorstep.

Lake is a day ticket fishing lake and very very busy on sunny weekends. Weekdays much quieter. Campers are charged to fish with no discount.

Facilities are lacking given the cost of the site per night however shower is powerful and sprays everywhere leaving water all over the floor. A mop/bucket and squeegee are within the unit.

Water and power on each site which worked well.

Nice booklet provided a few hours into our arrival however could have done with knowing on arrival or via email prior to arrival.

All in all, would stay again for the setting and walks alone.

Busy fishing lake at weekends.

Mi è piaciuto The view from the pitch was amazing if your into your fishing and hiking this is a gem of a site and only a short walk into Church Stretton where you will find pubs shops and restaurants. Caer Caradoc is right in front of you and is a great walk from site once at the top the views are stunning. We also took a walk to Carding Mill Valley to take in the waterfalls this was a long walk from site but you can drive and park nearby the walk took about 1hr to get there.The fishing onsite is also great with lots of carp to go after i only fished an hr here and there but caught regular. There is water and electric on each pitch and there is also a cabin which has a shower toilet and sink in which is adequate.The owners are all nice and friendly.

Easy walk to town. Great access and a good base for the area. What more is there to like.

Mi è piaciuto Easy access. Lovely aspect of lake and mountain, huge hard standing, level, serviced pitches and site very well maintained. Spotlessly clean toilet and shower with instant hot water. Owners very friendly and helpful: we did have occasion to contact them one morning and they responded quickly and effectively. Like it so much we immediately booked to come again.

Non mi è piaciuto This is not really a dislike, more a circumstance of a weekend of glorious weather the first weekend children were off school. The lake is open to the public for fishing and a couple of large family groups came to fish and socialise over the weekend. Everyone very friendly and nice to see families out together, but I think some of the people on site were not too keen. However, owners very responsive and extended the ‘no fishing’ zone to well beyond the area in front of the row of vans to ensure minimum disturbance. This will not be a problem in the future and the site was lovely and peaceful after the weekend.

Very peaceful even with the A49 not to far away

The owners were very pleasant and left us alone once in the pitch
Good level pitches we didn't need any ramps in our pitch with water and electricity adjacent to each pitch
Although you need your own shower and washing facilities there is a single toilet if needed
