Mi è piaciuto Very warm welcome, the woman on reception was lovely, got given a big pitch right on the edge of the stream in the shade, it was 31 degrees so that was very much needed.. lovely quiet site.. would visit again

Non mi è piaciuto We was going to the pub near by on evening but never pre booked.. maybe something on website to suggest pre booking.. lady on reception help us find alternatives though

Mi è piaciuto Had a wonderful long weekend which was booked last minute due to weather forecast.
Super clean and secure site with an interest in recycling, toilet and shower block tidy and clean, all appeared to be level pitches and ours was alongside the river which provided trees for shade.
Although deep in countryside easy access to attractions including Church Stretton and Longmynd
Lovely pub at entrance to site which we didn't eat at -our fault we didn't book in advance - which seems to be very popular.
All in all site had everything we were looking for and hope to return.

We're sorry you experienced a bumpy, uneven pitch but if our memory serves us right- we had reserved you a riverside pitch which is very level but on arrival you requested a pitch away from the river as you were concerned about your dog. Unfortunately, we were busy so the options were limited but we gave you a couple of alternative options. We do hope to see you again soon.

Mi è piaciuto Very welcoming at reception on arrival. Host accommodated us to a pitch close to facilities due to camping with a baby. Answered any questions we had throughout the stay. Clean site, friendly atmosphere and maintenance done daily. Relaxing sound of the stream travelling through the site which was great for the kids. Pub onsite and shop which sells everything you need. Would recommend and shall be returning!

Mi è piaciuto Absolutely everything is to like about this stolen piece of Paradise. I was greeted with a "welcome to Paradise" ahead of my two night stay, travelling as a solo female, with dog, needing ehu to mitigate the impact of the heat on my floofball (I had planned a basics site I've been itching to visit and changed my mind with the temperatures - and I have zero regrets). The owners, John and Rachel are lovely and SO excited about wanting and being able to share their space with as many people as possible. Even with school holidays yet to begin, the site was busy but not too busy. Tenters, motorhomers and caravanners - including tourers arriving and long-term pitched tourers - are mixed in, with the exception being The Dingles, a cute pair of idyllic non-electric havens behind reception overlooking the little river that babbles through the site, the event field (DoE students were there when I arrived but you'd not know it) and The Plateau beyond. To the other side of the reception is the open part of the site - all ehu - and The Island, which has the much-needed shelter for my floofball, Fozzie Bear, and the sun to power those essential evening ambient lighting... Pub up a short path, shop over the road and another pub a short distance away. Toilets, showers, wash-up, chemical loo disposal, rubbish disposal, play area for kids with energy to burn off, a little dog walk area off The Dingles, but a public footpath off and behind the site, and nature in abundance - baby trout in the river, owls overhead calling to each other and the treat of a buzzard emerging from his early morning roost and swooping just feet away during an early walk - and all of this adds up to The Green being my 'return to' space. Two hours in on my first night and I was already recommending it - and deservedly so. Fozzie and I will be back!

Mi è piaciuto Great welcome at reception who were really friendly. There is a fantastic pub just at the front of the site who do great food. There is also a small shop over the road for provisions and takeaway breakfast / breakfast sandwiches. Perfect.

The pitches on the stream side offered welcome shade in the Blazing heat late afternoon time. Phew!

Mi è piaciuto We had a fantastic stay at this camping site! From the moment we arrived, we received such a warm welcome from the owners. Rachael, in particular, clearly has a real passion for the site, and it shows in every detail.

The facilities were absolutely brilliant – spotlessly clean, well-maintained, and easily accessible. One of the real highlights is the location: there’s a lovely pub just seconds away, perfect for a relaxed meal or drink (definitely worth booking ahead for food). Plus, a well-stocked local shop is just a two-minute walk, which made everything super convenient.

We would totally recommend this site to anyone looking for a welcoming, well-run place to stay – and we’ll certainly be returning! Highly recommended.

Non mi è piaciuto There was a little smell at the top of the site, but I think this was from the pubs cesspit. No reflection on the site at all !
