Copper Fox Camping

Mi è piaciuto Another stay at Copper Fox - one of our main go-to sites for a true, peaceful stay. Booking is always easy and very reasonably priced. You get what you pay for - no bells and whistles; no complexes or elecric pitches which makes camping, sometimes, really expensive. With the introduction of both toilets and showers on site, amenities are basic, but clean and modern. Cudos to the owners for this.

It was also an experience for our fluffy friends who came with us for the first time! As the site was fairly quiet, they had lots of fun exploring the site and surrounding areas.

The site does not have WiFi, but a good cellular signal and you can use your phone as a hotspot for wireless access if required.

Looking forward to planning our next stay away at the site.

Non mi è piaciuto From our point of view, nothing. We had everything we needed on site, either brought within our setup, or by the basic amenities supplied by the site.

Be nice for people out of the area to have some information about local services (grocery stores, petrol stations, etc.) and attractions, possibly located on a notice board at the toilet block?

Mi è piaciuto Very friendly and welcoming on arrival. Stunning quiet location with beautiful views across the lake.
Toilets and showers were the best we’ve seen on a campsite. We loved our stay and will definitely return.

Mi è piaciuto We had a really lovely stay. The pitch was nice and spacious, and the campsite was peaceful and quiet, which made it a really relaxing place to stay. The table and bench were a really nice touch and made the pitch feel even more convenient. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily come back again!

Non mi è piaciuto The only small suggestion I’d have would be having a bin on site. It wasn’t a problem for us at all as we were more than happy to take our rubbish home with us, but having a bin available would be a nice added convenience for future guests.

We do not provide bins to ensure we are economically priced vs the competition but completely agree it would be nicer for campers. Might review it in the New Year.

Mi è piaciuto Quiet and casual pitches right next to a lake. Couldn’t fault it once we found it. Toilet and shower facilities were excellent. I commend the ‘take your rubbish with you’ policy.

Mi è piaciuto A beautiful lakeside location. Away from it all, calm and peaceful. Good for walking and cycling routes. Great for watching water birds. Clean, modern toilets and showers. Not the sort of site with an office, a shop, a cafe, a kiddies playground etc. Just acres of grass and trees and nature to explore. Can't comment on the fishing, not my thing, but ideal for a quiet break in natural surroundings.

Non mi è piaciuto A bit of a mishap with an attachment to a text message that wouldn't open. Could be my phone. Anyway, a quick response to my phone call sorted everything. Very friendly people who were keen to ensure I had a good stay. Many thanks for your attention.

Mi è piaciuto A lovely, small site. Good facilities which were always clean. Really helpful staff. Lovely view of the sheep field.
