Mi è piaciuto What a delightful little site. The pitches are a very generous size with pretty fairy lights around the trees. The shower block was spotlessly clean as was the washing up area. We arrived very late due to horrendous traffic problems but it wasn't an issue. There is a wonderful play area for children where they can climb swing & generally be children.

Non mi è piaciuto Not really a dislike but the shower was not disabled friendly, I did manage to get in it but was very wary getting out because of the step down.

The toilets and showers are cleaned daily and we are very pleased that you found them to be spotless, likewise the washing up area.

I am very sorry to hear that you found it to be difficult to get in and out of the shower and if you had made us aware during your stay, we would have tried to make it easier for you as we want everyone to enjoy their stay. We noticed on your booking form that you asked to be close to the facilities, but did not know that you are disabled. If I had known then I would have contacted you to find out how your disabilities affect you, as we know our site is not at all wheelchair friendly due to the unhelpful moles and rabbits. We do try and cater for the majority of people, though we accept that we fall short in some areas. During the closed season we will try to address this, so should you wish to book with us in the future, hopefully we can make it much easier for you.

Mi è piaciuto Nice and peaceful, park good for kids, clean facilities, the host was very kind and welcoming. Close to local shops and amenities.

Non mi è piaciuto Was a bit unsure as where to go when we got there signs for reception on left but nothing/nobody there, had to wait for the owner to come. Closer to the main road than expected very noisy throughout the day when sat in awning but when in caravan barely noticeable. Signal/reception very poor (understandably for some is a good thing) but for us with young children was not able to stream ect.

With regards to the reception, as we are close to the end of the season we don’t ’man’ it, as we do in the height of summer. There was a sign, asking campers to ring the campsite phone number, but for some reason, it appears to be missing! We will rectify that.
With regards to the road noise, it is stated clearly in the write up on PitchUp that we are very close to the very busy A17 and unfortunately, there is nothing we can do about that and I’m pleased to read that it didn’t bother you too much once inside your caravan.

Non mi è piaciuto Showers wasn't clean... toilets took ages to re fill toilet rolls, hand towels not enough facilities

I’m sorry that you found that the shower wasn’t clean and that the toilet rolls were not replaced quickly enough. We do have signs up in both the ladies and gents toilets saying that if the facilities are not clean or lacking essentials then to please contact the owners so that this can be rectified quickly. I don’t suppose you are aware , but there are guidelines as to how many toilets and showers are required for the number of campers and we keep ourselves within the required ratio of campers to toilets and showers.

Mi è piaciuto Lovely play area for children. Lee was very helpful and made us feel welcome on arrival. We used his hose pipe to fill our motorhome. Very pretty lights around the trees.

Non mi è piaciuto The campsite is by a road, however it didn’t disturb our sleep.

Mi è piaciuto My son had fun meeting new friends on the park. Ok for an overnight stay on our travels.

Non mi è piaciuto Just overall not what we expected, everything just looked tired and old. Caravans stored and a few permanent vans made it look untidy. Facilities on site were ok, not the cleanest but not the worst we've seen. Dog poo left around back of our pitch, lots of holes on the pitch.

Dal gestore: Hello and thank you for your review and we are sorry that you didn’t like our site. Did you speak to anyone about the dog poo? We can’t rectify anything if we don’t know about it. Dog owners are supposed to lean up after their dogs, but also know that not everyone does, unfortunately. Had you spoken to one of the owners this would have been cleared straight away. With regards to the holes on your pitch, we have a number of rabbits around the site (along with moles) and they make the holes. We are in the country and wildlife make their own rules. We do go around and fill any, but again we do need to know about it, in order to be able to sort it.

Unfortunately, as our site runs parallel to the very busy A17, road noise is impossible to avoid. Our site is very rural being part of a very small hamlet that is Byard’s Leap and as a result we are not and never have been on a bus route. In our info on PitchUp does state that we are right next to a very busy road, some people can switch off to it, but for some the road noise is too intrusive. Hopefully, we will see you again in the near future.

Mi è piaciuto Brilliant campsite, we stayed for 4 nights Friday to Tuesday. Family friendly, great park. Nice hot shower.

Dal gestore: Kayleigh, thank you for your time in leaving this review on The Beeches. We are a family friendly site and this is reflected in the amount of play park equipment we have. Some of which we have had to remove through the season and it will go back up when the time is right. Safety always comes first. We still have lots of things to do onsite for youngsters and we love hearing the whoops of laughter from children.
Our showers are not only hot but a great water pressure which we are blessed to have.
