Whitemead Forest Park

Mi è piaciuto I cannot fault this site.
Second trip here and will be returning again.
Pitch: clean and spacious
Showers and toilets: immaculate and a pleasure to use
The venue: reasonably priced drinks (food a little pricey but good), great atmosphere
Pool : fabulous pool area, clean and nice and warm, steam room one of the best I've been in, family change area and locker code system great. Never seems overly busy and no silly systems for one hour a day or silly booking system
Site: great coffee shop, shop reasonably priced, park and walks.... plenty to do

Non mi è piaciuto We arrived late unfortunately and the weather was awful (can't help that) but we struggled to find our pitch as there's very little lighting. I love the fact it's not lit at night but could do with clearer pitch numbers maybe the numbers lit

Mi è piaciuto Have stayed here a few times in the week outside of school holidays (less busy and less children 😄)
Enjoy using the pool and the facilities are always clean. There is a good choice of places to eat and decent local hikes

Mi è piaciuto The pitch and forest setting is lovely. Loved the access to forest and cycle trails. Loved the dog play area and local walks.
Toilet block and shower facilities excellent.
Swimming pool and new cafe great as well.
Nice being there when site is quieter. Staff all friendly. Will definitely return, been here many times already but first time with our caravan.

Non mi è piaciuto The only slight thing is it was a bit strange having someone in a mini jeep sat watching and waiting for us to leave our pitch.
This was only our second time packing up with our caravan so we still learning. We found it slightly pushy particularly as we were clearly leaving and only went past 11 by approx 10mins whilst hitching up.

Mi è piaciuto The park is very well kept and ideally placed for what we had in mind for the two days we stayed, cycling the Colliers trail through the forest.

Non mi è piaciuto The only thing that let the site down for us was the toilet block that needs a few things sorting, hooks missing off the backs of doors, urinal out of order, a shower control that was very loose and a loose toilet seat, minor things but it let the side down when the rest of the site is so impressive.

Mi è piaciuto What can I say, the most amazing break. The facilities are second to none. We could walk for miles without touching a road - awesome for dog owners. Will def return for a weekend when the “tribute” acts are on

Mi è piaciuto We loved our stay! Lovely site, loads to do for kids. Two parks, evening entertainment, daily activities, lovely walks around.

the facilities they have on site included within the price are amazing, everything clean and tidy.

Non mi è piaciuto No communication on arrival. Had to find everything ourselves. Took ages to find our booking. No apology. Terrible communication before we went. Site had a powercut so didn't get to swim even though power back on before the end of the session. Advertised Sunday roast but staff said they don't do it. Staff had a "it's all too much attitude". grass pitches were waterlogged but unable to move even though lots of empty hardstandings. Other guests just upsticks and moved. Wifi was rubbish and kept cutting out.

As mentioned by our Reservations Manager, Pitch Up does not allow for two separate bookings (one for a pod and one for a pitch) to be linked or requested to be in the same area. However, Lauren personally handled your request and rearranged multiple bookings to ensure your pitch was located in the Meadow, close to your glamping pod.

We’re sorry to hear you felt there was no explanation of the park. Our check-in team provides a brief overview of the site and directions to your pitch upon arrival. Additionally, we supply all guests with a comprehensive welcome pack containing all the necessary information for their stay. Much of this information is also available in our “Good to Know” guide, which is emailed to you prior to arrival.

Regarding the power outage, there was a village-wide cut, and the National Grid advised an estimated restoration time of 9pm. This was the only information available to us at the time via their website. Unfortunately, we are not provided with exact timings, so we rely on their guidance. Thankfully, the power was restored quickly and efficiently, which was appreciated by both guests and staff.

We were fully booked over the weekend, but unfortunately, some guests choose not to travel to the site without informing us, which is frustrating. Others may arrive a day later, so while pitches may appear vacant, they are in fact booked.
