Piccolo sito ben curato con ottimi servizi moderni (bagni, docce, cucina, lounge). Apprezzata la pulizia e la comodità per esplorare il Peak District. Alcuni hanno notato rumore stradale; piazzole camper meno panoramiche. La maggior parte tornerebbe volentieri.

Tarmac site on pitches 1 to 11. But have read that it's open all year so this makes sense.
Taxi ride into Buxton cost around £10.
A walk to the local pub the Church Inn is about a 30 minute walk in the village of Chelmorton.

Mi è piaciuto Size of the site was lovely. Toilet and shower facilities were excellent, as were the shared kitchen and lounge room. Site is convenient for exploring the Buxton and Bakewell area. Also very close to Tagg Farm Dairy for delicious ice cream.
Non mi è piaciuto The road noise from a busy A road adjacent to the site linking the A515 to the A6, used by heavy trucks and motorcyclists from early morning to late evening.
The superpitch area is in a courtyard setting and the pitch size only just accommodated our large single axle van and midi awning, with little room to sit outside, operate a barbeque etc.

Lovely small site, well kept and owners were excellent.

Mi è piaciuto Easy access, quiet, clean well maintained washing facilities, small dog walking field, easy access to nearby trails.
Non mi è piaciuto The campervan bay we booked was akin to a gravel car park. Nice view but nothing special. It was next to the car park which had vans leaving early in the morning.
Not a comment on the campsite but a lot of the nearby footpaths are overgrown making passing through them very difficult.

Local pub was good and lovely area for walking.
Non mi è piaciuto Felt a little as though we were camping in a car park- prefer grass pitches or near by grass.

Mi è piaciuto The site was very well organized, no need to check in, all the details arrived on text or email. The facilities were very good and spotlessly clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Useful local info in the lounge. Quite a long walk to the pub, but well worth the effort! Within easy reach of Buxton - also well worth a visit.
Non mi è piaciuto A bit of noise from the road in the day, but not bad overnight.

Lovely relaxing site

Mi è piaciuto Great location, lovely small site. Toilet and shower facilities very clean. Showers are great. Dog exercise field very close by on the site. Will definitely book this site again.
Pitches also private due to hedge separating them. And most of all no mud as all hardstanding for caravans.
