Nem kedvelték: Entrance and check in - there isn't enough room when there is more than one unit arriving and this caused us to block the road for other users. The phone wasnt answered first time and we had to wait a considerable time to be sent via text the code to get through the gate. The key pad for the gate is on the post meaning that you have to leave your vehicle to access it. The site, like most, is 5mph. We were almost threatened about there being an onsite speed camera!
The pitches are not numbered and there is no hard standing/gravel pitches as advertised.
Although dog friendly, you are not allowed to walk your dog around the site.
The warden on site is not customer focused. She was rude on the phone when we were late arriving due to traffic. We were due at 1pm but due to traffic coming from the south we were 2 hours later. When i explained this she huffed and said "you are joking!" She didn't show us to our pitch and told us we had to make sure we got the right one or we would be moving!
The play area is only for those under 8 which meant my 10 year old couldn't use it and she was frightened that the 'mean lady' would shout at her if she actually went to play on it.
The toilets are at best, dated. They could be better maintained and much cleaner. Lots of cobwebs and blown plaster where water is clearly leaking. The showers run between freezing cold and boiling hot.
The electronic lock is very high on the door. Too high for children to access. I struggled being only 5'3. It's was also temperamental.
We just had the feeling that as we weren't regular or permanent users, we were not wanted and were a bit of an inconvenience.
Sad, because with a bit of effort on the facilities and a friendlier welcome this could be a really lovely site.
I'm sure this will generate a negative response as per the previous reviews but this is an honest review backed up by the photos.
Friendly and quiet. Large pitches. Pub just up the road.

You booked a NON ELECTRIC pitch that is not an over flow field it was actually a CL site until recently and has river frontage - how honestly can you complain about that for £25 p/n as bad value for money. It is NOT an over flow field by any means! Not sure what you mean about 'paying for a table'??? Think maybe you are mixing our site with somewhere else you must of stayed recently regarding this and dirty toilets?

Nem kedvelték: The toilet facilities were could have been better. The showers were very temperamental, either very hot or cold and difficult to work. There was a lack of soap and the driers were useless. The barrier system was quirky. You had to get out to go to the side of the barrier to put in the code which we were not given initially and had to go and ask for. We went to the campsite under the illusion that we were on the edge of the river. We had to carry our canoe off the campsite over a small but busy road and UNDER a wire fence. It generally gave the impression of being run down.
Thank you for your review all be it a tad misleading! Lack of soap... ? They are filled up once a day and checked twice a day so apologies if it had run out! Not sure why you said not given the code to the barrier? Everybody is checked in the same. You call from the barrier checked in on the computer which sends you the code to the barrier. Not sure what happened with yourself as that's how it works and that way you have the code to get out. maybe you were one of the tailgaters and jumped though without calling?! Not quite sure WHY you thought you were on the edge of the river? Had you of asked it may of been possible for you to of gone to the site across the lane? 'Busy road' its a single track dead end lane just to the pub so don't think it can be classed as a 'busy road' maybe 20 cars a day?!

It’s a lovely location, relatively small and well kept site with nice large pitches (all very level too which is always nice). The warden was friendly and welcoming on arrival and gave us a quick site tour/talk. Appreciated that it seemed a nice quiet site too, with no loud music or “party” groups. There’s a lovely pub just a few hundred yards away too; Brampton Mill, which is ideal for drinks or a meal if you don’t fancy self catering.
Nem kedvelték: Not a lot to dislike. There is a train track which runs close by, so you do hear the trains until around 11pm when they stop running. Facilities were clean and tidy but the showers are a little tired and could probably do with a refurb.

This review is totally untrue and by an extremely malicious lady.
Clearly stressed by getting stuck in traffic but didn't have the decency to even 'call' to say they were delayed giving no respect to our opening hours/check in times arriving 4 hours late. Maybe we should of just locked up and gone! We have your check in on CCTV and reviewed it and our staff did not say 'you are joking' complete lie on your part and not sure why you feel the need to lie or be so malicious.
Why would you even want to walk a dog around peoples caravans when there are country parks and loads of dog walks... Lazy maybe?
The digital key pad is purposely put high to STOP young children using is... (as per handout you clearly didn't read?!) they should be accompanied by an adult as most caring parents would do on a holiday park. You might want to measure yourself as the keypad sits at less than 5ft plus arms are normally at least 18" so if you were 5ft 3" should be able to reach easily 6ft!!! However a very pathetic point to mention!! It is there for your own safety as we sit on a public footpath.
An extremely DISHONEST review from somebody who feels the need on a 1 night stay to take their telephone to the toilets and take photos.... very sad indeed!! We do not claim to be a 5 star hotel its a 'Campsite' and if you read at least 450 of 460 reviews the facilities and staff are commented as excellent!! Sadly you cant please all the people all of the time!
Clearly too much time on your hands also to write it a second time!!
