So how did you access the facilities Victoria?? We have a copy of the text to your number so not sure why you feel the need to lie, saying you had no code?? You arrived 2 hours late but sadly made no contact to notify us our of courtesy although it was New Years Eve?!! You have rated our WIFI as 1 Star but we don't have any? Accommodation that was your van as 3*?!! Think that sums up the review!!

Nem kedvelték: I’m not sure it’s worth leaving a review as it’s clear from other reviews that the warden is not open to feedback however, for me the site was poor.
Arrival was not overly welcoming, you’re not on a pitch you’re parked in the road. There are no actual winter pitches so it felt like I was in a traffic jam parked in a row on the road.
The bathrooms are very outdated but mostly in need of a thorough clean. There are dead flies, lots of cobwebs and general grubbiness and dirt, lots of taps dripping they’re hard to turn off due to limescale buildup. Damp paint peeling walls under sinks. I appreciate we all have different standards so this is just how the site was for me. I would not go back.
We are open to constructive feedback at all times just not unnecessary stupid comments.
Whilst I appreciate the facilities are out dated they are as on at least 400 of our reviews clean. They are cleaned daily but please be aware it takes a spider 30 - 60 minutes to spin a web so unfortunately as I'm sure you appreciate you can clean then and the next day there are more.

Thank you Charlotte for the review. A very unusual dislike especially as it didn't affect you and if you read the other 418 reviews nobody has ever commentated on lack of showers or having to wait to use?! Very odd irrelevant comment but appreciate you mentioned accommodating your late arrival.

Nem kedvelték: Firstly getting into the site was a pain. Metal gates to open and close, followed by a barrier. Hard standing pitch was in fact the gravel rd you drive round, parked in a line behind other vans. Little imagination. The toilet blocks were pretty awful, so dated, shower head had a tiny flow, loads of cobwebs and dead insects, and they’d been there some time. And at £30 for the night, I’d expect 5 star facilities. This certainly was not. Ok we stayed for one night, thank god!! I think the manager has to take these negative reviews and do something about them, instead of being defensive!! I wouldn’t recommend and would not visit again!
Security is there for your own safety its a POSITIVE not a negative! The gates would normally be open but unfortunately the barrier wasn't closing so the gates had to be shut... is that really a big deal?!!! £30 for 5 Star facilities I think you are having a laugh.... its a camp site in a rural location get real!!
Please however take time to read the POSITIVE reviews above and below of people who stayed the same time as you and gave us 10 out of 10 maybe the problem doesn't lie with us??

Nem kedvelték: I called the site warden on arrival as instructed by the sign on the gate. The impression I got was that I’d disturbed her and I was an inconvenience. I was told to pitch up 15foot away from the caravan down the side of the road, this was their “hard standing pitch”. We didn’t get a pitch we were on the side of the road, very much like being in a lay-by.
There was lots of seasonal pitches all set up at the back of the site, we were at the front next to the road and the train lines. If you need a train I can assure you they are regular!
We almost packed up and left, but stayed one night to allow us to find somewhere else to stay for the remainder of our break.
We were given no information about water or waste and felt lucky that we’d got a tank full of water.
The toilet block was dirty and needed a really good clean and freshen up. It was also difficult to get into without any instructions, just a text message with the code number. The water was lovely and warm in the shower, but trickled out. The overall feel of the place was poor, the attitude of the warden was poor and our experience was poor.
We paid for 3 nights and stayed one. We didn’t contact the warden again as there was nothing that could have been done or said that would have changed our mind from leaving.
We read the reviews and thought others were being fussy! They weren’t! I assume the good reviews are from the seasonal pitches!
A complete and misrepresentation of The Willows, please read reviews above and below. This man arrived on site very stressed and agitated for some reason and has clearly decided to take it out on here!! He was checked in the same as everybody else and handed check in instructions with full details if you read it as to where everything is located!! The water taps are though pretty obvious top see!!
Your stupid comment about seasonal pitches is a complete lie as how do you think they book on Pitch up when here all year, year after year???? Clearly you don't even know the meaning of a seasonal pitch either!! Just to enlighten you they are here all year and pay us via invoice so how do you think they can leave a Pitch Up review???
