Unnecessarily complicated door lock system to get into the toilets and washing up areas
Toilet/shower block is closed 10:30-11:30 everyday for cleaning which is a little annoying especially when you have to leave site for 11:00, most people want a quick wee or to wash up your last few bits around 10:30-11.00, would be better to close 11-12

Plenty of places to walk dogs close by including country park literally 5 minute stroll from site. Half hour walk to Godmanchester with its lovely duck ponds and pike swimming below bridge as well as lovely walk along river and locks. We will definitely be going back for another stay.

Nem kedvelték: Bit noisy due to a dredging site yard next door with a digger (lots of loud metal bangs) and the trains going past, we were put in a field on the other side of the road to the campsite which I wasn't even aware was part of it, its not shown on any of the photos, so the toilet, showers etc.. are across the road in the main site. Toilets are clean but showers old and mouldy, the whole toilets block could do with a refurb, but wouldn't stop us going again.

All of our non electric pitches are on the other side of the lane which is a stunning location. A mention of accommodating you 'late arrival' would of been appreciated on a Friday evening! Hope to welcome you back again one day and if you wish to be on main site please book electric pitch.

The only thing we inform on check in is how to use the toilet digital lock, where to park and places of interest so not too sure what you are referring to with 'full on welcome' its just for trying make your stay go smoothly.

Some lovely people there including the Site Warden who went out of their way to be helpful when we realised we hadn't brought the battery charger for the gun which released the stabilisers!!! Nice walk down to the very swish pub / restaurant at the end of the road
Nem kedvelték: Unnecessarily complicated sign in system (virtually impossible if you don't own a mobile phone!) and no idea why the gates were locked at night and you needed a key code to get into the shower block??!! ... made us feel a little uneasy ...
Thank you Debra for your review. Sadly the current world we live in we have to keep up with technology and 99.9% of people own a phone and those that should we ever have any just do the traditional way and walk to reception. The gates are never locked due to any unforeseen emergencies we do not lock them so not sure why you thought they were locked?? They are closed for every bodies own security and safety but not locked.
We sit on a public footpath and again for our guests own safety and security the facilities are kept locked like with most camp sites as we do not wish to be clearing up behind walkers or have them using our facilities which I'm sure you agree with... its not a negative but purely for your own safety and to keep our facilities for people paying to be here!
A very disappointing Customer Service rating for our Warden who 'went out of their way to help you' what more could we of done for you?!

I appreciated that the facilities could do with an uplift! As I'm sure you appreciate its a 'camp site' and during the Summer bugs and cobwebs are endless!! They are removed daily but unfortunately come back!
11am is the 'latest' time to check out so you could leave earlier and use facilities before you go? They take an hour to clean and dry and have to be ready for arrivals at 12noon so its impossible unless we move check in time later to do them any later but people can leave before 11am?!
