A aimé The location is lovely for this site, backing on to the Ouse. The pub "Half Moon Inn" is also lovely. Was fine for the one night we stayed.

N'a pas aimé The showers were rubbish. You pay £1 for 2 minutes of a freezing cold shower that floods out on a site that is already not the cheapest. The loos were reasonably clean, but the floor felt like it was collapsing in the ladies far end.

Réponse du gestionnaire : thank you for your crap review, Firstly- the showers are adjustable you turn the dial/knob left or right for temperature the reason the tray was flooding was because a shower bottle label was jamming in the drain, we just discovered, that while cleaning the shower that was fill of grass! secondly- Why did you not inform the staff off the issue so it could then be rectified? it took staff 1 minute to clear the drain! If you had reported the issue we could of refunded you £1, explained in easy terms for you to understand how grown up's use the shower to get the correct temp, & resolved the drain issue. there is even a sign on the wall asking you to report any issues!! another doughnut that prefers to type instead of speaking to get a problem resolved.... take ya 6/10 score & put it where the sun dont shine!!

A aimé Next to a great pub, the lady who owns it was absolutely fabulous and so amenable to our needs since we were at a local festival, and had early mornings and very late nights! Couldn't have asked for better service.

A aimé The site was beautifully maintained, each pitch is boarded by hedges giving privacy. The toilet/shower facilities were always clean. The location is perfect for travelling to either Gloucester or Cheltenham, or like ourselves WWT Slimbridge. Site had WiFi but at busy times this seemed to struggle for streaming - but we always have our dongle with us so did not affect our stay. The staff at the site could not be more helpful.

N'a pas aimé The only negative we would have is the road/aviation traffic noise, but we expected this with the location of the site.

A aimé This is the most beautiful site we have stayed in. The pitch back onto a little stream, perfect for bird watching, we saw some not very common species such as goldcrests, dippers, and black caps! The facilities were lovely and clean, and very spacious.

A aimé How peaceful it is. So close to amenities. Lovely facilities. Perfect if you want to experience a tranquil stay in the Dorset countryside.

A aimé The facilities! They are all brand new sparkling and lovely. You have a great spare on site for any forgotten items, lovely toilet block, a little cafe for breakfast and lunch, then a restaurant and bar plus entertainment suite for the evening. There are fishing facilities plus a golf course, and a water obstacle course for the kids. It's honestly one of the better sites we have been to and we will be back!

N'a pas aimé The only small issue was the noise levels due to entertainment, it was still loud at 11pm and at that point we just wanted to sleep!

A aimé The secluded nature of the site, and having it to ourselves because of the weather. The friendly site cat is always a hit with children too.

N'a pas aimé The shower did not get as warm as it needed to. This hadn't been a problem on previous stays at the site.

A aimé Every pitch was clearly marked out and maintained, there were plenty of water points and electric hook ups. The facilities for disabled guests were very good. Spacious and include plenty of aids to allow independance. All facilities were clean.

N'a pas aimé The water quality. The water coming out of the water points came through cloudy and with visible impurities. Luckily we always travel with a water filter, so we were able to to get over this issue. Also we could not find the waste water collection point. So had to empty at home upon our return. Oh and the cockerel, that's pretty self explanatory!

I have looked into the water issue, the water did run cloudy for a few hours the water provider has advised they were doing some works but has assured us this would not have effected its drink ability. We have asked them in future to let us know so we can advise all guests too. So we are sorry that this happened. The Elsan and Grey waste points are located to the left of the reception behind the fenced area. I have ordered a larger sign so this makes it clearer ( the sign is small ) Oh my the Cockerel - yes he likes to say hello, he's not ours We hope you visit again and thank you for staying :-)
