A aimé This is a lovely site, I've been a few times, both in a shepherds hut and camping. The facilities are great and lovely walks and a great pub (the Church House Inn) nearby. Wood is available to buy and it has a nice relaxed feel. I love a site that is a bit hands-off and lets you choose your pitch.

N'a pas aimé I think the £12 for 3 days to take a dog really puts me off going again. As a single camper, the price per pitch is on the higher end as it's priced per pitch but the additional payment for my tiny Jack Russell puts it out of my budget. I can completely understand the high charge for a dog if you're staying in a shepherd's hut but for staying in your own tent (and obviously clearing up any mess they make on site) it's expensive. It's easily the highest price I've ever paid to take my doglet and I go camping a lot

A aimé It's a lovely site with plenty of room and a great view over the valley. The hosts were welcoming and helpful. The loos and showers were great, nice and clean and plenty of them. It's a 10-15 minute walk into beautiful Porthleven. We will be back :-)

N'a pas aimé The only thing I would change is the ability to recycle there. There is only glass recycling at the moment. There were some lads camping at the bottom of the field who made quite a lot of noise with their vans in the evening but not really the camp manager's fault.

N'a pas aimé This campsite has won the award for both the most expensive and worst campsite I have ever stayed in. To be fair, I mostly like fields but was going to an event nearby so thought I'd try it. When I got there at lunchtime I was directed to an area that felt like a disused carpark with loads of litter, broken children's toys etc. Went to the loo, there was poo or something brown smeared on one door. When I came back after the event, the toilet block was partially flooded from a shower, now one toilet had poo on the seat, the second still had poo on the door, (I took a wet wipe and it would have easily been cleaned off) and the third had poo left in the loo which was at least flushable. They said it would be £36 which was more than enough but actually charged £39 with no explanation for the extra and they want you to get out by 10am. I always love camping and find the joy in each site apart from this one I'm sorry to say

A aimé A lovely site with lots of thoughtful extras such as power-banks to borrow, a fridge and freezer free to use and hammocks to hang out in. The showers were great and facilities were well thought out. Gweek is just 10 minutes down the hill which is really pretty with an amazing shop and nice pub

A aimé A really peaceful, beautiful place to be. The wild spaces in between pitches really makes you feel in nature. Some really lovely touches such as a discount for solo travellers, fire pit for each pitch and the fire-starting package and logs was just great. Sadly, I only stayed one night but will definitely be back for a little longer next time.

A aimé Lovely site, really friendly and welcoming and walking distance into Bovey, A bit wilder than most sites which I like, especially the shower open to the trees. I will definitely be back soon

A aimé A lovely, friendly site. Pitch anywhere, washing machine drum fire pits free to use, compost loo and shower open above to the trees.

N'a pas aimé Next to a carpark and busy road but not much can be done about that. It is probably the most expensive campsite we have ever stayed on
