Very friendly owners, decent sized pitch although a little awkward to reverse into due to wooden fencing that didn't appear to serve any great purpose. Close to river, nice and quiet.electric hook up included a water tap which was very convenient. Will definitely return.

Entrance sign off main road is partly obscured by overgrown bushes, resulting in us driving past making it awkward to turn around further up the road. Hard-core gravel is very loose and not well compacted, which made it difficult for the caravan jockey wheel using the motor mover

We have had an amazing 2 nights here celebrating my 40th birthday, the park was spotless and facilities were excellent just what we needed, pub within walking distance and good place to stay for us as came to walk Skafell, we also travelled over to walk helvelyn perfect weekend

Very much overselling itself. Not really much like the photos. You need rock pegs to put your tent up. Cramped pitches, noisy road and farm next door. Shame because the area was beautiful, and yhe pub next door great. Probably a better campsite in a caravan or motorhome

The campsite was very clean the facilities were excellent the grounds keeper was friendly and went out of his way to be helpful this is a quiet site and very peaceful

The staff was friendly upon arrival and was helpful. The location was beautiful and the campsite was quiet.

Lovely, helpful guy that runs it. The hardstinding pitches have everything you need and are large plots with privacy if you want it. The river Irt runs thru the site, which is easily accessed. Pub next door and a tea room a couple 100 meters. Because the site is small, it's very friendly and chatty.

The toilets and facilities need an upgrade, but they are clean and the showers are hot. 50p a go.

Peaceful pretty location. Campsite, river, bridge, pub! What else would you need?
Also lakes and mountains for a backdrop.

Liked everything, nice sized campsite, all electric pitches. Camp warden very helpful, we forgot our electric extension and he kindly sorted it for us. Facilities good, everything you need. Nice bonus a little quiet pub 5 mins walk away. Would definitely return.
