Location next to the river and pub, what more do you need, it was just lovley relaxing and not too big.

Really lovely location, Andy came round and greeted us after we had arrived and was very friendly and welcoming. The pub next door was perfect for a post walk drink and dinner with good hearty food. Everything was clean and tidy, showers were hot just remember your 50p.

All I would say is the shower/toilet blocks seemed a little tired, maybe it’s where it’s the end of a busy summer season! But could just do with a little freshen up. But that’s just being picky.

A nice location next to the river and across from the pub.

The site facilities are very tired and it seems a little unkempt. The journey from the M6 is long and winding and should not be overlooked.

What a fabulous spot.. We were there for 3 nights.. Rain all day, day 2 but lovely site and when all is said and done, nothing they can do about the weather.. Lovely river side location.. The pub does great food and drink, although a little expensive but hey.. saves cooking and bringing your own.. Couple of white doves don't mind coming into the van to save you getting the vac out..
Shower/toilet block perfectly adequate but could do with a really good cleaning on a daily basis, I didn't mind the 50p for the shower but clean please..

Nothing really apart from the disappointment of the shower/toilet facilities..

Very nice small site within walking distance to a great pub, owner/manger of the site really nice and friendly guy, 50p for proper showers is absolutely worth it 👌🏻 whilst camping

We had a wonderful stay at the old post office campsite at Santon Bridge. Gorgeous and dramatic views of the mountains as you drive the last few miles (we saw the sun setting which was just incredible).
A very warm welcome and a lovely pitch close to the river (as requested) x
The site is spotless and showers at 50p for 10 minutes were hot and powerful!! Very impressed, absolute bargain at £35 per night with electric hookup.
A beautiful place to explore the lakes from, have a cold dip in the river onsite or wander across the little bridge to the pub, or a 10 minute walk to a coffee shop and gift shop. What more could you ask for, absolutely wonderful weekend. We will definitely be back xx

Lovely site, friendly check in, good facilities, pub next door served lovely food. Short drive down to the lake.

Nothing great site.

Liked everything about the camp site the best part is river flowing next to the camp site.
