We stayed here for 3 nights and can’t recommend it enough the toilets were kept so clean and had no issues the host was amazing and was so dog friendly it was a lovely relaxing place with the river so close for a swim and only 13 minutes drive to the beach

Great wee campsite, had everything we needed for the weekend, hot showers and a pub very close by serving gorgeous food! Location is ideal for bagging those wainwrights!
Andy on-site is a fantastic guy, very friendly and helpful and can’t forget Bobby the campsite dog, he’s a good boy!

Lovely location, loved hearing the sound of the river. And friendly staff! Big motorhome pitch with plenty of space. Plus you u can walk to the pub 2 mins away and get a takeaway pint!

Friendly welcome. Good sized pitches, fully serviced. All facilities easily accessible. Proximity of pub, serving good beer and food.

Location, location, location. Nice river just behind and only 15-20 min drive to the Wast Water and Wasdale Head.
Andy who is looking after the site is nice and helpful.

Facilities were at a poor condition. Lots of mould and rust. Very unpleasant.
WiFi is available but not everywhere and when there are more visitors connected it barely works.
Mobile reception is only with the EE network.

Beautiful location with a river flowing through its so peaceful. Toilets and shower areas are clean and showers lovely and warm.

You have to pay 50p per shower that we didn’t know about so had to drive into the local town to get some 50ps.
Also the water in the shower comes out boiling hot when 1st switched on like “scolding” so be careful.
There are no fridges on site for tent campers so we were buying daily.

Well kept site in a lovely location. Local pub serving delicious food with lots of choice.
Great for exploring the Western Lakes and Wast Water in particular.
The site manager was friendly and helpful and amenities were great.
