Great location if you like the outdoors, not far from wast water, and scafell pike, lovely pub next door with decent food, nice fully serviced pitches next to the river which sends you off to sleep, toilets and shower clean and perfectly adequate for camp size, felt welcomed by the campsite warden.
Will definitely be back again.

River got high one night of our stay due to the adverse weather they had previously and through the first part of out holiday. This is no fault of the site just mother nature

The location was great nice and relaxing just next to the river IRt. Well looked after site, Andy the warden went up and beyond I wanted some eggs as I had forgot them, he said I will get you some from the farm when I go tomorrow morning, following day he knocked on our motorHome with the eggs saying that they didn’t have any at the farm so I bought you some from shop,what a guy thanks Andy I really appreciated that. There is a lovely tea rooms just up the road from the site and gift shop we had a meal there it was yummy not badly priced to, the gift shop is a bit expensive but has some nice gifts, the bridge pub has good meals which is 1 min walk from the site

Everything about the campsite was amazing, facilities and staff manager and the beautiful noise of the river , especially Bobby the dog 🐕, even the rain didn’t stop us from exploring the surrounding areas, we will definitely go back and stay at ( the old post office). 👍🏕️✅

We stayed for two nights as a couple. We drove to Wasdale to climb Scafell Pike which was around 25 minutes through some beautiful scenery past Wast Water. Was able to have a nice hot shower afterwards. The showers are powerful and roomy and don’t get steamy which is a bonus. The best showers I’ve had whilst camping. The pub just next to the campsite is also a bonus. Overall I think this is a lovely, clean campsite and would recommend this to our friends as couples.

Nothing to dislike.

Small site in a good location for west Lake District. Pitch was good, fairly flat. Next to a fast running small river. 2 toilets/sinks/showers (50p for a 10 minute shower) were clean. Good pub literally next door. Andy (site manager) was helpful.

Pot wash water wasn’t always hot enough. Wi-fi was hit and miss sadly.

Very friendly staff.
