Pitch by the stream, facilities good but could have been better. Non slip floor in shower would be good.
The tearoom and craft shop [5 minute walk] was a real bonus.
Overall a nice campsite just needs a little tlc.

The facilities are always clean, the pub a 2 min walk. River side setting. The guy that runs it makes sure you’re settled, and can’t do enough for you!

Noisy kids

The campsite was small but very friendly, & Andy who met us on arrival was very pleasant & accommodating when we advised him the pitch we were getting was not big enough for our tent & Gazebo. He then had a look about & got us a big pitch right next to the ladies toilet block, which was great as my wife walks with a stick. Could hear the water from river which was calming & lovely, The toilet block was always clean & the bins easy to get to. We loved our visit & will be back in the future.

The barking of dogs constantly but did not spoil our stay as we love farm life & animals. The speed some of the cars were doing on small tight bendy country roads.

Lovely little site. River is beautiful running along the site. Nice pub on the corner severs lovely food eat in or takeaway dog friendly too. It’s a peaceful place had great sleep even in our tent very quiet. We met some lovely people all very chatty and Andy the warden is a great guy very friendly loves a laugh.

The only thing I could say it if the showers had a new pole and shower head so they stand upright would be great, but they were nice and warm.

Campsite was well maintained. Facilities were spotless. Staff very friendly, helpful and accommodating. There is a pub, which is dog friendly within walking distance.

Location, motorhome pitch was good with a decent privacy and amount of space between and the staff were very friendly.

Washrooms were in need of an overhaul, cracked toilet seat and cobwebs not very welcoming.

Nice level site for our caravan, Right beside river for fishing, Quiet and handy for Wasdale and the Lake District and for the beaches of West Cumbria.

Narrow roads leading to the site from the A595

Fantastic area, the lake with stunning views only a couple of miles away. Deserted sandy beaches to the west. Excellent area for walking. A hidden gem.

Toilet block needs complete overhaul. I wasn’t impressed with the 50p charge for the shower, taking into account the price charged for the pitch for the week.
