Large fields, beautiful nature, lots of space to camp with car next to tent, lots of toilets and showers available, shop has lots of toys for kids to play with, rentable fire pit with grid to bbq on, close to shops and areas to explore. The car boot sale next to camp site was fun to explore both days and there is a discounted entry rate for campsite guests.

Toilets and shower facilities don’t get cleaned enough and guests don’t respect it, so it gets dirty later in the day and people just don’t flush properly. Guests not respecting the 5mph limit and driving fast on the dirt roads or across the fields to leave site or get to the shower and toilet facilities. There were noisy guests violently attacking each other while their kids were watching it unfold and other guests having to call police to sort out the situation, however the behaviour of guests is not at the fault of the camp site. Lack of exit camp site signage so I ended up guiding people while walking to and from reception where to drive to exit site as not very obvious. Reception staff could be more welcoming to their guests, a smile is all it takes to make people feel welcome.

This was our 5th visit to the Hop Farm. We love the laid back feel to this campsite and the setting is just beautiful. There is easy access to the river and my 2 teenage boys love using the rope swings. We plan to visit again in the summer holidays.

Poorly maintained and managed. Rules were flouted ball games played in areas where not permitted. Young children unsupervised
Toilet and shower facilities were inadequate, especially for the number coming at the weekends. Only half a dozen for several fields worth of campers, some in other nearby fields where there were no facilities

Beautiful place, with loads of space to explore. Nice view to walk along the river. So quiet and peaceful.

The Hop Farm is a brilliant place — we really enjoyed our stay. The water facility is a real bonus. I just wish there were toilet facilities closer to the far end fields, as it’s a bit of a walk otherwise (or toilet trips need to be arranged during the day). The main facilities were clean and well looked after.

Unfortunately, we did encounter very disruptive neighbours who kept our group awake throughout the night and at times were quite intimidating. However, management dealt with the situation very swiftly the next morning and were extremely apologetic, even though it was not their fault. We really appreciated their professionalism and care.

Overall, a great experience and we would return

So much space the weather was amazing.
The staff were nice and friendly.

So much can be done with this site.
The reception area could do with updating. The shop area could hold a lot more items especially camping equipment that campers may of forgotten or run out of.
The toilets needed to be cleaned more frequently (some campers can be disgustingly filthy when they don’t have to clean up the mess).more could be done for places to visit or maybe having local food trucks come on for trade. I’m sure that business would be booming.

Could do with some sort or activities like a late night market with different food trucks different traders / small independent businesses arts and crafts.

Lots of space, great weather, great company. My grandson learned to ride his bike. Great two days messing about on the river.

We have our own facilities so didn't use the toilets or washrooms.

We love the hop farm and have been coming for several years and will visit again in the future

Unfortunately our stay this time wasn’t the greatest. Several massive groups had taken up large parts of various fields to camp together and were shouting and noisy and playing music with huge stereo set ups and disco lights until the early hours of the first night.
One big group arrived after we did and camped really close to us in one of the bottom fields despite there being literally acres of other space they could have chosen, so we ended up having to move. Then another big group turned up in the field behind (the ones with the disco lights) and we just didn’t want the hassle of moving again so we were sandwiched between two loud groups, both of which were noisy until 2/3 am.
Unfortunately it is well publicised that the last patrol of the site is at 10pm so noise dips at this point and then once the patrol has happened it goes straight back up. Mobile phone signal is non existent in the lower fields so in order to call and complain you’d have to drive the couple of miles back up to the top of the site, not really practical or convenient.
Some other groups had pitched up right next to and across the river access points, so it was difficult to get down to the river as you couldn’t cross their encampment (despite it being a publicly accessible footpath to anyone and not just residents) which is a real pain and ruins one of the main selling points of this site.
