Nothing to not like.

We liked the site’s beautiful open fields, woodland and riverside walks. A lovely setting.
Our stay was late in the season and the site was very quiet and peaceful.
We enjoyed a drink in the pub which was a very short walk away as was a lovely seafood stall.The pitches with hookup were spaced well with easy access to water.
Hot showers.

Entrance was a bit off putting - it could be tidier. The grass was a little long but the weather was quite dry so not too much of a problem. We were expecting to use the newly refurbished facilities but they were not open - only the older ones were available. To be fair - they were “ tired” but clean.
Bin area could be enclosed with a recycling facility.
The chemical disposal area was a little smelly.

So much space. So many options of type of environment to pitch up in. Never come across anything quite like it. A Gem

Locked Toilet Blocks. That was a pain and the site seemed to be rural enough to not need. But I am completely unaware of past difficulties the site might have encountered and therefore needed to protect a clean respectful Bathroom for its paying customers, who knows. But it just took memory and being organised with keypads.

Location was good for me as a quick 3 day getaway. Reception was friendly and informative for my stay.
Vast areas for dog walking and exploring the countryside

Arrived at my pitch and the grass surrounding my van was overgrown. The electric hookup point( which also included the water point ) which to me is a no no ( electric & water should be separated? ) but the pitch was level !
Onto the shower blocks …. Ermmm not the cleanest and best maintained I’ve come across. Lots of cobwebs and dirt visible. I know this is a large campsite but I did expect cleaner conditions

Lots of space, so private & can pitch next to river especially if paddling, staff at reception very helpfull

One toilet block, litterally several hundred metres from some of the ptches so far from adequate, pub close by but no dogs so have to sit outside which is ok dependent on weather/time of year

We like the walks along the river and good when the car boot is on good space on each pitch . We go there quite often never disappointed staff friendly and helpful .

Toilets are clean but just need a bit more of a clean like around the windows lots of cobwebs and showers need hooks on doors for hanging clothes .disabled showers definitely need somewhere to hang your clothes not asking alot but these would be good things to improve. Also cart understand why there is some mobile homes left in the grass electric pitches wich is a bit off a eyesore .
