Beautiful surroundings. The site is absolutely huge and really well taken care of. The bathrooms are clean and well-kept, and they have all of the facilities that you could need (waste disposal, washing up areas, etc.). Absolutely beautiful camp site.

It was lovely as always nice campfire boot sale Saturday and Sunday what more could you ask for? can’t wait to go back again highly recommended lovely people lovely place.

The size of the campsite . There was plenty of room. The facilities were fine.

The codes on the toilets were a pain. The punch keys didn't always work, so you had to start over. As there was also a code to get access to the site, why would you have a code for the washing facilities?
Also there was a period, one day, when there was no person available in the office during their opening hours. People were waiting. Very sloppy.

Very friendly place to stay, it was quiet not many campers. Toilet and shower block very clean, lots of open spaces

Relaxed vibe, huge fields with loads of room. Great walks along the river and local countryside

I had my wedding next door at the shires oast, so I used little bell tent Hotel to pitch me 6 tents and I brought my motorhome and a few others pitched their own tents. We had two night here, first night campfire and second was the wedding next door and both was amazing! Sue in the office was amazing from booking start to finish. She has been helpful with putting my our separate bookings together and my constant emails getting it all sorted! Would highly recommend!

Only thing good was that it was close to where we wanted to be. Not sure how this place got a 4 star rating- that must be years old.

Everything is the best description I can give. From arrival onwards this site does not know what it is suppose to be. First all you see are trucks full off cars, an outdoor car wash and cordoned off fields, follow the road and you come to a reception barrier. Staff were prepared for sign in, so that was okay but there was a big warning sign when I was asked if we are part of the wedding party. No we were not but there was a group of around 20-24 people in a couple of bell tents set up just in front of us. Why we were placed behind a big group I can't understand as there were plenty of other empty pitches on other camping fields. But no, we were right behind the biggest group. First night, the noise continued and increased due to drinking to well past midnight, although to rules stated quiet time is from 10 pm onwards and started again from 7.30 am on when they prepared breakfast... Toilet/ shower facilities- never seen anything so dirty. We were given codes to access the facilities but the lock to the Women's block is broken, door permanently open. When I first checked it out, I noticed mud, leaves and dry dirt around the entrance which was still there when we left 2 days later, I didn't notice anyone cleaning the toilet/ shower facilities in the time we were there or saw anything different between morning to ev, same dirt was still there. No privacy to wash yourself, all open space and with an unlocked door I didn't feel comfortable to go there to wash. Showers- even worse. You open the door and you are in the shower, no space to put up your clothes or towel yo keep them dry unless you leave everything outside on the hooks - not an option for me - again unlocked door one reason but I really don't think leaving my clothes outside is appropriate nowadays.
Camping field - that's what it was a field with a trail track for cars/ caravan or motorhome to go around and then done waterpoints and electricity hook ups, grass not even mowed.

Clean, well appointed, well maintained, level site, with choice of pitch on huge site which enables you to find a pitch with plenty of space and privacy. We arrived later than time specified for office closure but were still met by a very friendly and helpful staff member at reception, which has a well stocked shop. Site is set on mature authentic traditional Kent hop land and is full of wildlife and places to walk. Utopia for dogs and kids to feel free. River to play, fish, paddle board. Pub on site. Boot sale on grounds sometimes. All in all it is one of favourite places to stay. We are a couple (+dog) in our early 50s and love it, if you were an extended family with multiple rigs it is the best site we have come across.

Nothing to dislike about the site. Just be mindful that it is a rural location and whilst there is lots to occupy you, you may need to travel to other attractions/shops/restaurants.

Friendly staff, immaculate toilets and showers very modern, quiet site, everyone was really friendly! We absolutely would go back!
