Site was well laid out. Staff really helpful. Shop on-site well stocked. Perfect base for days out.

Swimming and the staff. The pool and facilities were immaculate and the staff were so friendly, we were made to feel very welcome.

Lovely park, with plenty of shady spots and lots of play equipment for the children.
Pool was great and the children really loved that they could use the jacuzzi too, outdoor pool was far too cold for us during our visit but the indoor pool was lovely.
The restaurant had nice pub grub food, lovely staff and a nice vibe with the quiz night.
The washing up area was great and was lovely to be undercover with the rain we had during our stay. The shop was well stocked with everything we needed during our stay.

On arrival we were allocated a pitch on the black field, and being shown the site map, I asked if it was possible to be closer to the park as we were with 4 children. The lady at reception said to ask the man who was to show us to our pitch, on asking him he told us the park was ‘just the other side of the hedge there’ so we accepted this pitch thinking we must have read the map wrong. The park was not the other side of the hedge at all. I also stated that I wasn’t sure our tent would fit the pitch, to be told ‘well that would be a big tent’ and the man promptly left us to it, I had also emailed beforehand to check the tent would fit to be told yes it would. The tent did not fit properly and we had to pitch sideways despite signs around the pitches saying not to, otherwise we wouldn’t have been able to put our guy ropes out due to the concrete paths. Pitches on the black field are level but layed out on a steep hill with paths and steep slopes of grass between meaning there is no room at all to sit outside of the tent. We ended up moving our car to the car park at reception so we could have space to sit outside the tent. Was not an ideal pitch for a family with children who want to play outside. The blue field looked much nicer and had ample room around pitches whilst being much closer to the lovely play park, this field had empty pitches the entire time we stayed which was quiet frustrating.
The facilities were plenty big enough and we never had to queue for showers or toilets, however the water in the showers went cold very quickly every time we used them.
The arcade/games room is abit tired looking with some machines out of order and others looking abit worn out. The air hockey puck and bats need a really good clean too. This could have been a lovely room if it had a bit of TLC.

Facilities were nice and clean, and the showers were lovely and hot. Our original pich had been encroached by the people next to us on arrival, but we were shown to another pirch straight away,. The food in the restaurant was good. The beach was a 15-20 min walk from the campsite.

The tables in the restaraunt were sticky beyond imagination. We did wipe it down and dry it but there was no way to get rid of it. We opened a load of napkins and made our own table cloth. We saw lots of people trying to wipe off the stickyness to no success.

Small pitch that gave no privacy because there were no divide barriers I.e Fence bushes etc. neighbours therefore encroached

The staff were fantastic. First time travelling with our camper tent and really didn't know what we were doing but they couldn't have been more helpful to fearful novices. The shop was fantastic and again the staff brilliant. We didn't spend any time in the pub but I did visit to get a takeaway. The service was good and the portion sizes good!

Some of the campers playing loud music but this was turned off at 11pm and they did deal with one family that were causing problems so once again I can't fault the site
