Great pitches, short(ish) walk to beach. Very clean and nicely laid out.

Paying extra for swimming i find a bit much ... especially as not the cheapest.

Great views across the hills and a short walk to the beach. Had a grass electric pitch, word of warning, if your campervan plug is on the driver's side, you'll need more than a 10 metre cable to reach the point.

Newlands has some of the best facilities we have seen in a caravan park. We booked for the swimming pool and being within distance of the beach, but I was really pleased with the toilet blocks and all other facilities. The kids loved the playground and the pool and the site was safe for them to roam. The on site bar had really nice food and a nice vibe. We stayed in the week before Easter when the park was about half full so it was very chilled.

We left on Easter Saturday and the park was pretty much full, so the one toilet block was pretty busy. It was bingo on Good Friday night and it was was standing room only and 1.5hr wait for food BUT this was one night and definitely not our experience in the rest of the week. Options for food and entertainment in walking distance are a little more limited than the bigger resorts (and the bus stops at 6ish) but that adds to the chilled vibe if that's what you'd like. The swimming pool is clean, modern and exactly as advertised (love the hot tub and bubbles) but relies on 'parental supervision' so you can have a session with teenagers dive bombing near newborn babies. Probably again more of an issue when it's busy but it's not a pool to try and actually swim in!

Very clean, good location.

Outside washing up area with no plugs and push button taps.
Kids running around our van and playing football, did not find it very peaceful because of this.

Nice & flat pitch. Facilities were clean, showers good, staff polite.

No dog hook outside shower block.

We booked a grass pitch, but we were unexpectedly upgraded to a gravel pitch which was great I suppose this may be due to the time of year and the wet weather in the previous weeks ( not complaining thanks very much). Toilets and showers were great and still we were close to our pitch. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the site, the area and how to best get about once we had sited our campervan. This would be a great site for families with the pools , entertainment and club house.
