This was our second stay at the park. My boys loved it as so close to the Jurassic coast plus the park is lively safe and open. Will be pitching up again soon 👍🏻🙌

10.30 leave time - really means you have to leave the night before especially with younger children.
Would be easier if departure time could be 12.

Peace & quite, tranquility with amazing scenery.

Camp site - clean, tidy & organised.

Staff - friendly & polite in all areas; reception, bar, pool, cleaners etc.

Amenties all excellent, (hot clean showers), washing up facilities etc.

Space - plenty of space around pods and parking next to it.

Local areas - all beautiful, Lyme Regis, Bridport, Colmers Hill, Golden Cap, Charmouth.

Food- Roast dinner looked & smelt amazing. ( we hadnt booked for it but wished we had 😜).

Didnt know we had to pay to use the pool until we got there. Didnt see anything on the website unless its hidden.

Then you could only use for 1 hour at a time. You could get of the pool and pay again if there was a slot.

Biggest disappointment was the sauna. We chose this particular site because it had a sauna BUT you couldnt just have a sauna it is included in the pool slot. We didnt want a swim but we did want a sauna everyday. There are only 25 spaces per session for the indoor pool (this includes the sauna).

From our observations, most people were in the pool, very few were in the sauna and on all the occassions we wanted to use the sauna but were not able to, it was empty! Very disappointing.

Entire area very, very hilly with many very steep hills, including the campsite, but this cant be helped at least it keeps you fit! 😜

Pools, tow bar, views, clean facilities, friendly welcome, being close to charmouth beach and Lyme Regis, kids loved it, relaxing and quiet site, clean toilets, entertainment

Great facilities, clean & organised and within reasonable walking distance of the beach. Lovely bonus to have the swimming pool on site.
We have a wheelchair user in our family and found the site quite steep in places, however the main facilites had level or ramped access, and we were allocated a pitch lower on a level close to the main facilites.

Location was great, views stunning. Well kept site with plenty of green grass near our tent pitch for the children to play safely. Main restaurant had great food with good sized portions. Although the shop is small it had everything you would need plus more, well thought of stock range. Great showers that keep flowing, no button to keep pressing for water!

Depending on where sited the distance to the toilets, felt they could have had another block.
Disliked the fact we had to pay each time for a swimming session, which in a week works out expensive.

On arrival we had to wait 40 mins before being sited. Staff attitude was awful, we were clearly a nuisance! Mostly in reception but also in the shop and bar. No holiday buzz to the park. Pools are small and the outside one is absolutely freezing.

It was easy to check in and we were well cared for as we were guided to our pitch and explained everything. The pitch size was more than enough for our car, tent and awning/extension so we didn't feel too cramped with other campers.
The facilities were well kept and functioned well and there was never a queue to use them.
The bar and restaurant area was a great place to have available when camp stove food didnt quite hit the mark. The choice was good for veggies and the prices were very reasonable. The quiz night was a lot of fun for all the family. All the staff were very helpful and friendly.
The availability of hot pastries and bread were a real treat.
The indoor and outdoor pools were a welcome place to relax and have a splash about or do some quiet lengths (although the outdoor pool shallow end is VERY shallow!)
My son enjoyed the play park and there was ample places to sit with clear sight lines so we could relax and let him enjoy himself.
The site being located so close to Charmouth and Lyme Regis make it a great base for fossil hunting which is what we filled our days with.

The breakfast menu in the restaurant annoyed me a bit.
I was told it was not possible to effectively replace the regular breakfast items with veggie items and do it at a similar price. To assemble the veggie breakfast in the same way would have meant selecting each element and adding them as an extra but these were £2 per item.
I would strongly recommend a review of the breakfast menu and the option to sub items.

The wifi is very patchy but to be honest, I didnt go away to a campsite to expect superfast broadband in all corners of the park!

And a word of warning also is that there is a large dairy farm over on the other side of the valley and the cows at night are somewhat vocal!

What a place! It was our first time at Newlands and we had the best time. We will definitely return in 2025.
Arrival and check-in easy and quick. We were shown to our pitch and we had requested one close to the park which we were given. The play park was fantastic and suited all ages.
The toilet block was a short walk away as was the washing up area and laundry room. The toilet block was fairly clean, just a few cobwebs and spiders here and there but that aside, the toilets flushed and were clean and the sinks had hot water and the sink areas were clean too. There were many showers and again they worked well and were clean.
There is a dog walking area which looked good.
The pool both inside and out are clean! I am one that doesn't like public pools but these are well maintained. You could borrow floats for your children if you didn't have any which is fab. There is an outside splash park which kept my son entertained for ages!
The changing areas were free from hair and water (as they are constantly cleaned) the showers were warm and the toilets were clean. The hairdryers were free to use and powerful. There is a sauna free to use and a jacuzzi which unfortunately was out of order on the days that we went.
The Tow Bar had such friendly staff who chatted and joked which was lovely. The entertainment was fab both day and night. The food was super however it was fairly pricey. They accommodated for my son who is pretty fussy when it comes to food due to SPD and my requests were accepted and I wasn't made to feel awkward for asking.
The soft play was great and very popular with all ages.
The outside balcony was glorious in the sun.
There is a SPAR shop on site and it had everything that you'd need apart from a cash point. We had to go into Charmouth to use a cashpoint in a Nisa which was free to use.

The games room reminded me of when I was a child as the games are fairly dated. Having said that, my son still enjoyed the car and horse racing games - very retro!
Maybe a bit of money could be spent to update the games room and it really would be appreciated by all I'm sure.

Pitches were an ok size for our t5 with awning and a car, there were plenty of facilities which were spacious and clean, shop was a spar so prices were actually cheap for a change, swimming pool was an added bonus although it was 3.50 per child which did sting abit especially as we had 5 children who wanted to swing every day, but we were really pleased with the site and would definitely recommend and would stay again
