Beautiful quiet site with lovely views.
Caravan was well equipped but gave us a sense of privacy. Our boys enjoyed making a fire outside. We would love to return with our tents one time.

We didn't go to the local beach due to time constraints but would love to come back and see that next time!
The caravan was clean and well equipped - it was also nice and toasty with the heaters too! The shower was great - better than most caravan showers. Nice and warm and good pressure.

On Sat we visited Beamish which has been on our lists for a long time... it's great! And not too far away. On Sunday we went up to seaham which was a real hidden gem!

Luckily we're used to bumpy one track roads as one of our party is Irish and one visits remote Scotland frequently... it didn't cause us any problems but if you're a nervous driver prepare yourself hehe

Quiet small place that you are pleasantly surprised by with a friendly welcome upon arrival. Basic but good facilities are all you need when camping in a small tent as we were. An added bonus of a sheltered barn to use (as long as groups aren't using it) if the weather is challenging.
Quite a unique location.
Access immediately to nice walks linking up to coastal paths and beaches.
The site is accessed via a track rather than a road. Accessible by most vehicles with care.
2 caravans, 2 pods and a cabin are also available to book.

Nothing to dislike!

Owners are very friendly and helpful and the facilities were very clean ie toilets and showers. Only a 15min walk to the beach. The wife collected blackberry's and bought eggs from the farm.

Very long dirt track if you meet traffic someone will have to reverse no room to pass.
Some bumps in the grass be selective where you pitch

The location, isolated with amazing views. Small campsite for nature lovers. We stayed in the login cabin, furnished to a very high standard. Fridge, freezer, microwave, oven hob and washing machine, pots, pans, cutlery plates everything you could think of. The log burner for cooler evening was a welcome pleasure.
The area has super winding walks down a cliff side to a beach (pretty much deserted)
The area is not far from local towns, we particularly enjoyed Seaham.

Would recommend the camp site and look forward to staying again next year.

Please note these are not actually our dislikes but should be considered. The road to the campsite is very bump track. The walk to the beach would be difficult for anyone with mobility issues or impossible for anyone in a wheel chair.

There is no Wi-Fi on site.

Friendly welcome, lovely surroundings, warm and comfortable camping pod. Facilities basic but fine.

Stargazing over a firepit...

The Skylark caravan is home from home. Very well equipped (own bed linens and towels) good kitchen with everything we needed and bathroom with toilet and lovely hot shower

The site has amazing outdoor barn space when not in use as workshop with inspiring artistic atmosphere
20min walk down to the pebble beach - steep and slippery if wet - wear good boots

Yu Chu chinese will deliver to site entrance... tasty and good value

Long walk back up to village and shops... be prepared and take what you need with you... there is a fridge and cupboard space in the van

No TV or wifi but good to get away from it all :)

Stayed here a few times now and never fails to disappoint
Fantastic setting, clean facilities and great value for money, would definitely recommend
