Llys-y-frân Lakeview Campsite

A aimé : Fantastic welcome on arrival, everything explained clear, allocated pitch was perfect the view was outstanding. Staff were all fantastic, plenty to do with walking dogs and fishing taking preference this weekend. Very clean toilets and showers a shop and a great cafe to get food. Highly recommend in every way a really nice place to go.

N'a pas aimé: Regimented positioning and proximity to other pitches. 2 night minimum stay. Extortionate prices. Lack of private shower facility.

A aimé : Loved every second of our stay here! The views, the campsite, the staff, the facilities.. everything was fantastic! We came with 1x15 yr old and 1x3 year old and they both loved it too! The staff were so friendly and couldn’t have done more, the cafe and park was lovely, the shower/toilet block was spotless and warm and the campsite was so peaceful. We especially loved the fact each pitch was enclosed for extra privacy. We loved our stay so much we’ve already booked to return next month.. and 3 of our mates have now also booked a stay here too!

N'a pas aimé: Nothing at all. The only small feedback would be for activities for smaller kids <6 but that’s nothing to do with the campsite itself - it was great!

A aimé : That beautiful view to wake up to every morning. The excellent facilities - always clean. Helpful and cheerful staff - literally nothing they couldn't do for you. Generous and level pitches. So many great activities to choose from in particular the MTB trails on the doorstep.

N'a pas aimé: The cafe stops serving food too early to rely on it for your food and won't allow you to sit outside with crockery meaning that a tree in a rainforest has to suffer each time you eat - I think reusable plastic/bamboo or something similar would be much preferable to the needless cartonfest. They're aware and are redesigning the shared shower area for men.

A aimé : Lovely site and pitch. Easy access to activities and walks. Great breakfast in the visitor centre.

A aimé : Nice pitch and excellent facilities, beautiful views. Every single member of staff was friendly and helpful.

N'a pas aimé: We missed our gazebo and having a fire for roasting marshmallows! We camped next door to friends but the 'hump' between pitches meant limited space to sit together for meals. But those are small things - we will definitely return!

A aimé : Lovely peaceful campsite, lots of activities. to keep children and adults entertained. Really good play park for the kids. Nice that you can walk round the entire lake. Clean, hot showers, nice cafe and gift shop on site. Staff very friendly and helpful.

A aimé : Nice campsite with good shower and toilet block and lots of activities on site. Staff were also super friendly and helpful.

N'a pas aimé: It’s is slightly awkward not being able to park next to the pitch, but you are told about that in advance, so that’s ok. The only downside was our pitch was had lots of stones and bark - we cleared the big ones, and put a groundsheet down. It was difficult to place most of the pegs in the ground and bumpy to sleep on - not all pitches looked to be like that though

A aimé : Friendly welcome from all the staff who were all very helpful throughout our stay. The pitches are a good size and we liked the raised edges as it gave some privacy and also protection from the weather. Great selection of on-site activities as well as play area for the kids. Loved the fact that the toilets were in the activity centre so warm and well maintained. The shop and cafe up at the visitor centre were also great. Didn't feel the need to go off site for anything.

N'a pas aimé: Weather. Unfortunately we had persistent rain overnight and our tent leaked so we had to leave early. We will definately be back though. (Once we have re proofed the tent) But the staff on site were incredibly helpful with changing our booked activities.

A aimé : Gorgeous site, quiet, lots of activities, lovely facilities, clean warm showers and really helpful and friendly staff

N'a pas aimé: Absolutely nothing to dislike about this wonderful site. Only thing to make it better would be to provide a freezer so that anyone without electric hook up can refresh ice packs to keep cool boxes cold.
