Loch Tay Highland Lodges

A aimé : Great place to stay, beautiful surroundings very peaceful and tranquil, we stayed in one of the glamping pods that were pet friendly so was ideal as we have a dog. We took our 2 young kids for 2 nights and they had a great time, the pods were perfect for what you need, and pods were spaced out enough for you to have your own privacy, would definitely recommend it to families or couples 10/10👍

A aimé : Loved everything! The staff were so friendly and welcoming, the dome’s were so cosy and unique. It had a cosy little log burner in and on arrival we had complementary logs, matches and fire starter bits to give us a head start. The site was well maintained with a clean toilet facilities and a lovely on site kitchen with dining area. The location for us was perfect as hikers, with Glen Coe a scenic hour drive and fort William about an hour and 45. We go to Scotland around 3 times a year because this is our heaven, we have always stayed in hotels it camped but this was a hidden gem! We loved how welcome our fur baby was to! Also a lovely bar and restaurant on site called the boat house with good food and equally lovely staff! We can’t thank the staff enough for everything and we will 100000% be returning to this wonderful place!

A aimé : View and surroundings are amazing Friendly staff Domes are a great alternative to bringing our own tent (especially because the weather was mostly grim) - we did miss electrics in the dome - a plug or two would be handy!

N'a pas aimé: The restaurant is underwhelming - they are missing a trick here, with people staying in the park not having a lot of other options nearby. Needs more atmosphere and cosyness. Some nice sofas, better light and menu that isn’t so expensive!! The restaurant was empty mostly - in high season. Place is remote which means quite a bit of driving for restaurants/ coffee shops.

The domes do not have running electricity in them but we do have a lot of other properties which have plugs. We are a rural location with beautiful scenery with the nearest village being 3 miles from the park. I will pass your comments onto the restaurant team. Hope to see you again!

A aimé : We stayed for 3 nights in a Camping Pod (Lewis) my children aged 11 and 7 years absolutely loved this site. We were perfectly located just about the toilet/shower block and wash room which was ideal. Girls spent a lot of time at the park and made some new friend. Staff were very friendly and were all the guests we met. We used the Campers kitchen 2 evenings, I did take all my own pots, cutlery etc and was very pleasantly surprised to find the campers kitchen had everything you would need and more including glass and table wear as well as cutlery etc and extra fridges for storage. Site was quiet and peaceful and a couple of forest trails, we were lucky enough to see evidence of the local beaver population 🤩

N'a pas aimé: I can't say I have any dislikes at all to be honest it was more than we expected.

A aimé : The campers kitchen and lounge was a welcome addition to make the holiday more stress free. The accommodation was well maintained and we had no problems with anything. We had a log burner, outside firepit and hot tub which worked really well. The logs, and fire starters were a welcome addition to get us started! The location was just stunning and was great for activities, mountains less than 10 minutes away for hiking and the loch for kayaking. The bathroom was well maintained. The staff were so helpful and welcoming. Even when we had a problem with our dog escaping they were just superb raising the alarm and helping to look. We found him very quickly luckily. Their consitently helpful and friendly customer service was just so delightful and refreshing. This is a beautiful place, excellent facilities and great value for money. I would highly recommend for a stay. We are planning to look at a stay in the winter too!

N'a pas aimé: I think it would have been better to have some more bins for dog waste and some initial instructions/ tips on how to get the hot tub up and running.

A aimé : The stay was amazing! Very clean and comfortable and had everything we could need. The campers kitchen was great for when it was raining. It is also in a great location, very easy to get to and has plenty of activities and walks nearby. We would definitely stay again!

A aimé : Good shared facilities including access to a kitchen. The whole site was lovely and felt peaceful.

N'a pas aimé: The camping hut was tired and shabby. It had various broken elements - a cracked window, no door on the freezer and a big bit missing from the floor. It was also not as clean as I would have liked with lots of dirt and spiderwebs around the windows and an old disposable bbq left outside. The shared spaces were cleaned but not to the highest of standards. The wifi was expensive.

We would love to offer the Wifi for free but we are off grid in terms of broadband providers and therefore have had to use Mobile Wifi, which leaves the system constrained by the amount of data we can use, we must therefore restrict it by time.
