Newhouse Farm Wild Camping

A aimé : I loved everything about this site. The location, the size of the pitch and the well thought out layout in general. The site was well maintained and Rachel was helpful and a lovely host. I travelled alone with my two small dogs, one of which is a little reactive but both dogs had a lovely time and I will return again without a doubt. I would recommend this site to anyone who loves the simple peacefulness of the outdoors

A aimé : Beautiful setting, spacious pitches, lovely views, very friendly owner, Rachel, came round to say hello and check if all OK, offered logs, firepit etc. Clean toilets (portaloos). Could bring your own firepit as long as its off the ground. Site was fully booked but did not seem crowded as there is a lovely area of long meadow grass in the centre of the field. Location ideal for South Downs, Goodwood, Halnaker and Boxgrove all within a short drive.

N'a pas aimé: Nothing really, although the field was slightly sloping so levelling blocks would be useful. Access is bumpy, but fine if you take it slow.

A aimé : Area. Great views. Great location. Host Rachel was lovely and helpful. Came away feeling very relaxed. There are two toilet areas available which is great. There is minimal signal/4G which I liked as it gave me a better experience. Please be aware of the long dirt track you have to drive along to get to the field.

N'a pas aimé: Unfortunately, we stayed when there was a festival in the next field so was very loud until 11pm. Could also do with a shower block or two but it is wild camping.

A aimé : It’s a wonderful site, with great views. I liked that you can have a fire pit and just relax in the peace and quiet, if you want there is a great pub in the village. Rachel the owner is brilliant, really helpful and friendly.

N'a pas aimé: Only slight negative is the track is a bit bumpy in places, but it is a farm track so I guess it isn’t going to be perfect.

A aimé : Very nice secluded site off the main road. Lovely walks easily accessible from the site. The centre of the field had been left to meadow so there was lots of wildlife activity.

N'a pas aimé: The approach up the extremely bumpy chalk lane was as described so be aware. Although the toilets were kept very clean there was no hand washing facilities. There are rules in place about noise at night but no-one to enforce them so Saturday night was noisy.

Réponse du gestionnaire : Dear Laura, Thank you very much for visiting Newhouse Farm Camping :) I would like to let everyone know that repairs to the track will be taking place in July. I hope this will provide a much more comfortable journey onto our farm. We do provide hand sanitiser in the toilets and there is soap available at the drinking water area. I remained at Newhouse Farm until late on Saturday, and the site was peaceful. I wonder if the noise you could hear was coming from the Fair that took place on this weekend. A aimé : Beautiful views, very clean and natural site. Pitches very spaced out. Wild camping so water and toilets only but all clean. 45 min walk into local village with lovely pub. Love this site and will keep returning 😁
