N'a pas aimé: Caters for wedding parties with a big marquee on same field as tents and camper vans. We were only made aware of a wedding after booking, we didnt think it would be much of an issue as the pub owners garanteed that the music would be over by 11pm. 11pm as promised the marquee closed n music lights off. But then noise from the guests went on till 2.30am from inside the pub, music still blaring, guests shouting, screaming, whistling etc. 😡 i was about to call the pub and request that the owners politely asked the wedding guests to try keep noise down at least but my hubby bet me to it and shouted them to shut up at the top of his voise from far end of the field to which they heard clearly and seemed to av worked. Its not for other paying guests to control noise from pub customers it should be down to the proprietors of the pub. Will not be returning, only our 2nd time camping and my sister and partner 1st to which has put them off going camping again. Myself and hubby know its just a noisy campsite with no noise restrictions so it hasnt put us off, we will just choose more wisely on our next camping trip.

A aimé : The site is very nice with good size pitches and the grounds are well maintained. Good selection of drinks and food in the pub. Staff are very helpful.

N'a pas aimé: The site seems to be more suited to families with young kids. There was lots of noise from people shouting until about 1am and then there was crying babies throughout the night. The site could benefit from more toilets as there were only 4 unisex ones. The toilets had no toilet paper and the toilets were blocked. They need maintaining more often.

A aimé : Good location, nice facilities & pub was a good bonus. Kids loved the park.

A aimé : The campsite featured a clean and well-maintained shower block, providing a refreshing experience after a day of outdoor activities. The showers were spotless, with modern fixtures and plenty of hot water, ensuring all guests' comfortable and hygienic experience. The area itself was beautifully landscaped, with plenty of natural beauty and open spaces.

A aimé : Friendly pub and bar staff who were the hosts to the campsite. Quiet and well spaced level pitches . No electric site . Water next to toilet block so a short walk required . Showers and toilets in a modern block but these are cleaned as and when required or when the public go see the bar staff ie soap in dispenser or toilet roll, from experience this doesn’t always happen so you might not get the experience you were expecting . Biggest issue Elsan point and grey water disposal right next to pot wash area with no divide literally feet apart . Apart from that very friendly and you can see they are trying to build a successful business . We would go back .

N'a pas aimé: Expensive for what it is. The shop is expensive best to drive to a shop and get what you need. The toilet & shower block only got cleaned on the Sunday morning they was a mess should be in them daily at least.

Réponse du gestionnaire : Hi. Apologies about the toilet block, we usually get fantastic reviews on the bathroom facilities. They’re cleaned twice a day every day (‘mid morning and before bed) however this weekend it appeared we had customers / or a customer that liked to make a mess physically on the bathroom walls & we can’t follow each guest out of the bathroom as they leave. Cleaning mops are left in each unit with signs asking guests to clean up after themselves should they make a mess however we cannot enforce that this is followed - it genuinely depends on which guests are on site. Our little shop isn’t there to compete with supermarkets we don’t have the buying power / footfall for that so it’s always advised to go to a supermarket beforehand - we just sell a few snacky bits to top up during your stay such as the price marked chocolate bars, kitchen roll, bin bags, dog poo bags etc Regards Between Rivers Camping Team

A aimé : Nice area, pub on site, which is huge advantage (bit overpriced but that's to be expected), nice staff, firepit allowed

N'a pas aimé: Not a big fun of the facilities, for the amount of people there was I feel like there's not quite enough toilets. Kept running out of toilet paper and soap also, which was always replenished following morning but again for the amount of people there was, there should have been more left behind the previous afternoon to last throughout the night. There was a sign in facilities to let the pub know if anything runs out but can't really do that throughout the night. Site looks bigger in the booking pictures than it actually is. It is good size, however the tents are kind of cramped and you don't get as much privacy as we initially expected. The site is very family friendly with playground etc., however if you are going camping as an adult group or a couple and looking for that peaceful quiet escape, this is not quite it, as there's a lot of families with kids of all ages.
