A aimé : What a lovely site. Setting is as picturesque as they come. We had a lovely, warm welcome from the owner. Toilets are basic but kept very clean. The kids loved the menagerie of animals as well finding all the little bugs and creatures hidden across the site. No light pollution and the only noises at night were from the wildlife and farm animals around - perfect mix.

A aimé : A lovely campsite with amazing views! Great facilities and very friendly owners. Seeing the lambs and alpacas was an added bonus!
N'a pas aimé: No showers but this is stated when booking. Only thing missing but great if you can do without.

A aimé : The stunning views, incredibly friendly hosts, great soft but well drained soil, really flat field, amazingly kitted out for kids with nature trails, bug hunts, animals to feed.

A aimé : Catherine the owner is just so lovely, helpful and easy to talk to, we are always made to feel so welcome when we stay, the campsite is so tranquil and the views are out of this world, the facilities are basic but more than enough for us, the walks are amazing from the campsite and the river is beautiful, this place is the closest to heaven you can get.

N'a pas aimé: A bit noisy at night with the animals but that’s to be expected.

A aimé : Very convenient for walk to Reeth along the River and visit to local pub, the punch bowl, for tea on our way back. Owners were very welcoming and caring - will return!!

A aimé : Great site plenty of kitchen facilities, fridge freezer. However there are no showering facilities - just sinks to wash. Good location to use as a base for hiking and cycling in area. Short walk to the Punch Bowl Inn and a short ride away to the Dales Bike Centre. Around 30mins ride to Reefe the nearest bit of civilisation (note a bit of a hilly ride! Especially coming out of Reefe back to the site!) Recommended if you just need somewhere to get your head down with no thrills camping for the night with essential facilizes. Stress free communications with the owner with minimal contact so you are left to your own devices. Mobile phone signal is practically non-existent which is great for going off grid and getting a break - there is however WiFi in the social area (toilet/kitchen block) for those who can't leave their digital life behind!
