A aimé : I booked this venue for camping for my partners 40th birthday to visit Alton towers. We arrived to this Beautiful country pub with roaring fire, so welcoming, staff were very cheerful and friendly and chatty. The food was delicious and home made with high standard produce. Will always go back to this beautiful venue everytime I visit Alton towers. Thank you

A aimé : For our family to be able to afford to head to alton towers resort we need places like this that offer super affordable prices especially when it comes to larger then your average households . This is our 3rd stay there to date and we will definitely be staying again on our next adventure over to alton towers. As for hosts there fantastic with Margaret always there giving the personal touch .

A aimé : Pub toilets available. Water tap on the pitch. Dogs allowed.

N'a pas aimé: Small uneven and sloped field - fortunately we could park where we liked as we were the only ones there. Busy road all night and the field is right next to it. Had to “sleep” in the car as it was just too noisy. You might be fine in a van but don’t stop here in a tent. Chose a pub site for the beer but most were off.

A aimé : Friendly team at the pub, quiet site (late September) and option for breakfast at additional charge. Good toilets. Plenty of parking.

N'a pas aimé: No showers on site for camping. And as small site, you can hear other campers a lot of they're a bit loud.

A aimé : A very well run establishment which I recommend 100% The campsite was well maintained and Margaret and her staff went out of their way to be as helpful as possible I look forward to a return visit👍

A aimé : Clean site and small site.

N'a pas aimé: Between the tent and the road is a few trees but cars speed down the road late at night and early in the morning.

A aimé : Had a fantastic stay. Was very impressed with the site. Pub was lovely. Food and drink Beautiful. Staff were very Welcoming and friendly. Toilets were imaculate. Loved the old pool table too. Would Definitely stay here again..and would highly Recommend this to people. Next time we are Praying for sunshine though.

A aimé : The clean toilets. Close to Alton Towers. Quiet area with stunning views. Great walks. We didn’t use it this time but likes the option for breakfast in the morning. Great to be close to the pub for meals and drinks. The lady running the site was so lovely and made us feel really welcomed.

N'a pas aimé: Hard ground. No marked out pitches. The ground is very difficult to pitch on. Mostly stones! Recommend hard ground pegs. We were lucky with our pitch as we got the only one out on its own. As the site is small the space is really lacking, it was busy when we went and the tents were really crammed in. One larger group arrived after us and there was no space left. I’d recommend splitting the site into small and large pitch sizes and marking out actual pitches.
