What a lovely Lincolnshire location this is – check out pics for proof that Riverview Caravan Park’s spot on the banks of the Witham river is a mighty scenic place to spend a bit of time… You’re on holiday, so you’d be quite justified in deciding to settle down right there by the river for lengthy periods in the company of a book and/or picnic… although it’s also rather a fine idea to keep that view in sight by taking advantage of the site’s fishing rights or heading out for a waterside walk. Kids not really into all this sitting down or gentle strolling malarkey? No problem – there’s a playground where they can race about on fine days, and an indoor pool for splashing about whatever the weather. If they (or you) are plane fans, they may like to know that RAF Conningsby is a short distance away, with fighter jets and occasionally the Lancaster flying overhead. It can get a bit noisy (especially during the week) but settle down for your own personal air show and enjoy the sights. The family-friendly vibe stretches to the site’s weekend bar, which has a family room as well as a grownups’ area, with snooker and pool tables for those who like to get competitive over a drink. And that policy of making all guests feel welcome isn’t just lip service – the folk here have made an effort to make facilities accessible to less mobile visitors too. For out-and-about times, local town Tattershall is less than 10 minutes away by car and Lincoln city centre around 35 minutes.

N'a pas aimé: Booked a hard standing pitch got put on the grass which was waterlogged all my equipment was covered in mud had to use my car to pull all the other vans off as it was the only 4 wheel drive not a very good stay

A aimé : Absolutely everything! We've been here several times and will continue to visit here as we love it so much! Lovely quiet site, the managers/owners ate very friendly and welcoming and are always helpful. There's a park for the children to play on and a swimming pool for the warmer days! We look forward to returning here each time.

N'a pas aimé: Owner could do a bit more to make fishing more accessible although there was so much duck weed the river was un-fishable on our visit.

A aimé : There is plenty of space to set everything up, and the toilet and shower block nearby. Lovely and quiet, but can go and join in at the bar if you want with pool table and swimming pool.

N'a pas aimé: Only thing I could say is that when the grass is.cut the cuttings are left and I had grass absolutely everywhere but other than that, I really enjoyed the stay and will definitely be back.

A aimé : Very good sized flat pitches with electric hook up. Friendly staff, dog friendly and nice clubhouse.

N'a pas aimé: Not sure if there is one but couldn’t find a washing up station anywhere.

A aimé : Lovely location by the water, plenty of space for setting up. Clean toilets and showers. Peaceful and well maintained.

N'a pas aimé: Horrible freezing cold pool, waste of something that could be very nice for families to use. The gym wasn’t a gym, a broken treadmill, a half working weight bench, an exercise bike and punch bag. The showers only have one setting which was way too hot for the weather we had! The bar is only open Friday and Saturday nights. Had a karaoke on the Saturday, everyone was enjoying themselves and the room was full but dead on 11pm, the guy running it just stopped it and said no more songs, he’d finished and just took the mics and left! My partner went to get drinks and was completely ignored by 2 male members of staff while the female bartender was rushed off her feet. After the karaoke, There was no music at all, people weren’t happy. The atmosphere was buzzing, then it stopped and people left unhappy and moaning. Not good customer service at all. Such a shame. Need some tweaks here to make improvements, bigger washing up area needed, pool heater, working gym equipment, a better entertainment provider, temperature adjusters on showers, maybe offer hot bar snacks, launderette as a plenty of space to have at least one or two machines and a dryer! Lots of space to create more facilities for customers! Also signal isn’t good for mobile data so need to offer some kind of Wi-Fi!

Réponse du gestionnaire : Thank you for your review. We will make some improvements regarding the bar in the park there are opening hours on everything the bar is until 11 pm and not a nightclub. I'm not sure who you asked for drinks, but our bar doesn't employ mens . As for everything, you left a lot of junk and some of your luggage in the field.

Attractions à proximité

Having viewed your own bit of the river, it’s likely that you’ll be enticed into getting out for a walk – especially when you learn that there are a couple of riverside pubs nearby. There’s more strolling to be done in Tattershall Lakes Country Park (five minutes’ drive), plus the chance to get a bit of watery activity at Just Wake wakeboarding centre. Take off to Tattershall (around 10 minutes’ drive) for a wander around Tattershall Castle – a proper textbook castle with a moat and 15th-century tower to potter around. Just outside town is Tattershall Farm Park (15 minutes), where egg collecting, sheep shearing and hanging out with hairy Highland cows are likely to meet with approval from tiddlers (and quite probably their elders too…). A day out in Lincoln (35 minutes) must surely be on the list – it’s got a real slice of history, being home to one of the four original copies of the Magna Carta. You’ll likely feel like you’ve stepped back in time if you catch a film at Kinema in the Woods (15 minutes) too: the flicks have been running since 1922 here, and there’s still a resident organist to provide the tunes.

Les arrivées tardives doivent être signalées au camping dès que possible. Votre réservation sera maintenue pendant 24 heures. Passé ce délai, la direction se réserve le droit de relouer votre location.
Ni remboursements ni rabais en cas de mauvais temps, d'arrivées tardives ou de départs anticipés.

Chiens

Les chiens doivent être tenus en laisse et rester sous la surveillance constante de leurs maîtres.
Le site n'accepte pas les espèces / espèces croisées classées comme dangereuses dans le cadre de la loi relative aux chiens dangereux (c.-à-d.
