Theobalds Park

A aimé Proximity to London was great and we were in North London in less than an hour with an Uber/Overground. Pitches were spacious and the kids enjoyed the slide.

N'a pas aimé No bins in ladies toilets so they were getting pretty grubby. I was assured a bit was on the way but a temporary solution would have been easy to achieve.

A aimé Great location for getting into town easy to find and you can avoid the ULEZ getting there but you very close . Great welcome from the site manager and the site has great size pitches with very good condition hook ups .
The facilities are plenty full and clean with lots of water points it all well kept .
Great for families with play areas and open space and as it's spacious peaceful enough for solos .

N'a pas aimé Some will complain about the hum from motorway traffic but it wasn't a prob for me at night

Very clean toilets and shower block.

Well kept pitches and lovely grounds

N'a pas aimé Not much around within walking distance.... but that's not the fault of the campsite!

Alles war gut vorbereitet
Schöner Platz der gerade neu übernommen wurde und wieder frisch gemacht wird. Alles sauber und gepflegt

Waren für 4 Tage dort, super empfehlenswert

N'a pas aimé Etwas weiter weg von Bus und Bahn
Zu Fuß oder mit Uber alles machbar

A aimé Good overnight stop. Very welcome staff on arrival.

N'a pas aimé No speed bumps to slow traffic down.
Irresponsible drivers obviously have no consideration for children on site. Its an accident waiting to happen.

Thank you for your review. I have spoken with the lodge owners that have vehicles and reminded them that they too have to abide by the site speed limit of 5mph at all times. I'll keep a tighter control over this going forward.

A aimé Clean and tidy pitches, easy to find. This is a new site (new owner) and is up and running as a good site already, can only get better. Manager very engaging and polite/friendly. I will be staying again.

N'a pas aimé Not a dislike for me, but might be for others, hum from the motorway, it’s not intrusive, but if you want a good site just off the motorway, it’s something unavoidable.

A aimé The pitches were a great size and had a real countryside feel although you were in the London Suburbs.
The site has recently changed hands and a few amenities were unavailable such as laundry services, there were very few signs, a few time toilets had no toilet roll etc. All teething problems I’m sure 👍
There are cycle paths nearby to get out and about but it is 3 miles to the nearest town and train station

The road outside the park was quite narrow so you need to be alert when walking or cycling to the public bridleways and footpaths
No bus service so taxis required when you don’t have a car
No shops within a mile - no shop or bar on site

Thank you for your review. I'm pleased to say that we are rectifying the teething issues on a daily basis :-) We now have the correct toilet roll papper for the dispensers (thank you for your help with the toilet rolls) We've also now had our laundry machines installed - ready for your next visit ;-)

A aimé Everything was nice and tidy. Nice to hear woodpeckers and owls.

N'a pas aimé Nothing on site. The A10 traffic lights are a pain, but you are close to London.

Thank you for your review. The sound of wildlife around the site is indeed great to hear and see. Theobalds main attraction is it's proximity to London, that does, as you note, come with a downside of the surrounding roads which can be busy.
