A aimé Lovely large field with communal area. Shared kitchen facilities which were clean. Toilets and showers also really clean. River nearby.

N'a pas aimé Not a dislike but info for campervans. There are no facilities for emptying waste and no drinking water on site (unless boiling). Did think £10 for a dog was steep though.

Réponse du gestionnaire : Thanks for your review. We’re pleased you found the site, kitchen, toilets and showers clean and enjoyed the river. Just to clarify for future guests reading this: drinking water is absolutely available on site. We have a clearly visible drinking-water dispenser situated directly beside the kitchen fridge, so we’re surprised this was missed. We do, of course, provide drinking water for guests. We also do have designated waste areas on site where campervan waste can be emptied. Had you asked us during your stay, we would have been very happy to point you in the right direction. We’re always happy to help guests with anything they’re unsure about, but unfortunately we can’t resolve an issue we haven’t been made aware of during the stay. Regarding the £10 dog charge, this is clearly stated at the time of booking, so there shouldn’t be any surprise about the cost. We just wanted to correct these points so future campers aren’t left with the impression that these facilities aren’t available when they are.

A aimé The quirky peaceful location. Nice spacious showers with shelf and hooks so your clothes stay dry. There was a communal fridge and kettle campers and bothy users could use.

N'a pas aimé Railway line runs parallel to site, however trains weren't that frequent so didn't bother us too much.

A aimé Lovely secure site with 16 hardstanding pitches and 4 on grass. Shower and toilet block clean and heated. Good showers. Electric is metered so you're only charged for what you use (£2.70 with heating on overnight for us). Wayne the site owner, very informative and helpful. Exercise field for the dog and if you've kids, a playground.

N'a pas aimé Only grumble was we struggled with any phone and wifi signal (three network)

A aimé Large site so plenty of room to pitch up and not disturb your neighbours and vice versa. Facilities were clean and good.

N'a pas aimé We're self contained but depending on where you pitch up it could be a long walk to shower and toilets. I did use the shower, only grumble with that is no shelf or hooks inside to stop clothes getting wet! Had to drape over top of door.
