A aimé Lovely, peaceful and well kept site with super views. The hedges in between the pitches give you privacy and it was so restful here. We enjoyed listening to the birds and the fact you could hear nothing but nature! Great location for some of the north yorkshire attractions such as Castle Howard, Kirkham Abbey and Flamingo Land. Also super for walking.

N'a pas aimé It would be handy to have a toilet/shower available but it is very clear when booking that the site does not have these.

A aimé Spacious pitches, beautifully maintained site and lovely, friendly owners who came to greet us and made us feel very welcome. Loved the fact the site was adults only and it was so peaceful and tranquil, with great access to Kilburn. We will be back - thank you!

A aimé The peace, the quiet, the views, the pitches, the lovely owners, the animals (especially the lambs this time), the walks (sunrise climbing Binsey was spectacular), the facilities, the fire pits, the laidback vibe...quite simply, everything! We have visited so many campsites in our motorhome and are yet to find a site which quite like this one, with million dollar views! We are also so excited to see the developments of the beautiful Shearings...it will be incredible to have hot food on site and the new buildimg is simply divine!! We were so sad to leave and, of course, will be back soon! Thank you so much x

A aimé Beautiful site with gorgeous views of Northumberland. Excellent shower and toilet facilities. Super walks from the site. Helpful, friendly staff. Loved the animals on the farm. Handy for Hadrian's Wall.

N'a pas aimé Not a dislike as we loved this site but it would be nice to have motorhome pitches with a hot tub option available (at an additional cost of course!).

A aimé Views were fantastic! Pitches good size. Peaceful and chilled vibe. Lovely pub across the road. Brilliant walks directly from the site. Plenty to see and do nearby, with good transport links. Very friendly and helpful owners.

N'a pas aimé Shower/toilet facilities were quite basic and very chilly in the shower block. Could do with a bit of an upgrade.

A aimé This is still our favourite site we've ever been to. The views, the ambience, the sheep, the huge immaculate pitches, the friendly owners and the excellent facilities - what is not to love. We can't wait to return next season 🥰

A aimé Amazing views, huge well tended pitches and so peaceful. We really loved this site and had a great walk into Lower Largo - it's a beautiful place. Also handy for many places along the East Coast such as St Andrew's. Friendly warden. Can't wait to return.

A aimé We have visited many campsites in our motorhome but this is our all time favourite site and it brings us such happiness when we stay there. The pitches are huge and immaculate, the facilities are fantastic and the owners are really lovely, accommodating people. The views are absolutely incredible, with Skiddaw to your left and Bassenthwaite lake in front of you. The weather was fabulous whilst we were there so we enjoyed the sunshine and then watched the stars with a fire using the firepit at night. The site is so peaceful, with a lovely feel and we met some great people whilst away (hello Alison and Dave!) Watch out for the very tame chickens whilst there too - they like to join you for breakfast or even inside your van/tent if they can! There are amazing walks direct from the site and you will not want to leave this very special site. We will be back and already can't wait to return!!

A aimé This is our favourite site of all the sites we have visited in the UK - the views are absolutely incredible and it is so peaceful! The pitches are huge and the facilities are excellent - the washing up station has the best view you'll ever find! The owners are lovely and very laid back - they're always busy as it's a working farm so are very visible should you need them for anything. You can walk from the site to Bassenthwaite Lake in about 45 mins and it's also close to an animal park and Armathwaite Hall, which we love. Do not hesitate to book this little piece of Paradise!

A aimé We absolutely loved this site! The views were amazing, staff were lovely and the pitches were a good size. Perhaps the best thing about this site though is the facilities - the pitch is on a luxury resort and we were able to use the spa, restaurant, shop and 5 star shower facilities! You can also hire bikes and get the ferry to Tarbert, which is a stunning little coastal village. This is now up here as one of our favourite campsites and we can't wait to return!

A aimé This was an amazing site and we absolutely loved staying here! The views were stunning, the site was so peaceful and the owners Craig and Kerry were the loveliest, most helpful people you could meet. Craig got us firewood for a fire and even asked if there was anything else we needed from the shop. The next day we then had a tour of the alpaca farm and got to feed the alpacas, which was so lovely! We even got given fresh eggs to take on our journey. We would love to return to this site when we are next back in Scotland as it is a wee gem! Thank you, Craig and Kerry! 🥰

A aimé Location, walks, peace. This was a perfect place for getting away from it all. There is a gorgeous walk to a waterfall and many other amazing walks directly from the site and the pitches have plenty of space. We will definitely be back!
