A aimé Lovely location right by Lake Bala, with great facilities and a beautiful setting. Unfortunately, the only thing that really spoilt our visit was the hard-standing pitch we were allocated (I think it was pitch 14). It was right by the road and one of the pitches furthest away from reception, but more importantly, there was a very unpleasant smell coming from the drain nearby, which was noticeable throughout our stay. It’s a shame, as the site itself has a lot going for it and the location is fantastic. Hopefully, the drainage issue can be addressed, as we would otherwise have really enjoyed our stay.

We are very sorry, however, that the unpleasant smell from the drain affected your stay. We completely understand how disappointing this must have been, particularly as you otherwise enjoyed the site. Please be assured that we are actively trying to rectify the issue and have been investigating the source of the smell. Unfortunately, at present, it appears that the cause may be coming from drainage infrastructure outside of our site boundaries, which makes resolving the problem more challenging and means that it is not entirely within our control. Nevertheless, we are pursuing the matter and doing what we can to identify the cause and find a solution. We genuinely appreciate you bringing this to our attention, and we hope that we can get the issue resolved so that future guests can enjoy their stay without this concern. We would be delighted to welcome you back and give you the experience you should have had.

A aimé What a surprise and an absolute gem of a site! We chose Hensent Park simply because it was roughly halfway home from the Welsh coast, giving us a convenient break in what would otherwise have been a 200-mile journey. It far exceeded our expectations. The site is in a beautiful, peaceful valley, with a lovely stream running alongside it, and there’s a cracking short circular walk around the site — perfect for stretching your legs and taking in the surroundings. The facilities were absolutely spotless, and the whole site had such a lovely, relaxed feel. We thoroughly enjoyed our FIVE-star stay and would definitely return. A real hidden gem!
