A aimé Showers. Bar (the one evening it was open.)

N'a pas aimé I booked a grass pitch for a tent. The pitch had a flat area. But this area had been top dressed with chippings that you would usually see being used to resurface roads! To say this ruined my stay is an understatement. Moving about in my tent was most uncomfortable on my knees. Trying to sleep equally uncomfortable. Other grass pitches were also top dressed in this way. Finally this site is next to a somewhat noisy road.

We do kindly ask guests that, if they are unhappy with their pitch for any reason, they come up to reception and let us know. We will always do our very best to help, whether that means finding an alternative pitch that you would prefer or looking at another solution to make your stay more comfortable. We are here to help, and we would have been very happy to discuss this with you during your stay. Regarding the road noise, this is something we are aware of. We have recently planted a further 100 conifers to help reduce the impact, although being conveniently located close to the bypass does mean that some road noise is unfortunately unavoidable.
