A aimé Beautiful farm with unique sleeping options and a great mission. (Google D’Acres farm for the history.) Really nice staff. The Blue Bus was super fun to stay in. Set in the woods away from all of the other sites, with an extension cable run out to it and a working wood stove, it was comfortable and cozy. The mattress sags so two people kinda fall into each other, just fyi. Not a big deal. It’s glamping, not a hotel, after all. Lovely grounds to walk on, main farm house, kitchen, showers, (kitchen and showers have small fees), communal fire pit, outdoor hammocks, swimming pond, chickens, and more. Great views of the mountains and landscapes. They sell their own fresh eggs, kale, garlic, and other things when available. Apparently they let you borrow snow shoes in the winter. Sad to see that business is a little slower than in its heyday a few years ago, but still plenty to see and do. And located near the White Mountains for hiking and a couple small towns with restaurants for when you’re hungry.
