A aimé Easy to find and get to. Good facilities and if you stay with children there were play areas for them. Friendly owner and proceeds go towards the rescue which is nice.

A aimé Had the most gorgeous view and had field to myself. Owner/farmer was friendly and his wife was helpful with directions when I got to wrong place.

A aimé Really cute little site which was really well maintained. Owner was really friendly and facilities were all very clean. There was lovely woodland area/walk right on site and was easy walk into town area for pub/food etc.

A aimé Friendly staff, lovely location and peaceful site. Felt safe and enjoyed my 2 nights there.

A aimé Very convenient location and despite bring so close to town it was a peaceful location. Cleanest compost toilet ever, which was such a pleasant surprise. Lovely shower and nice to be in a small site as got to talk to other campers.

A aimé Quiet woodland site, great for wandering through to enjoy the woods. Friendly and approachable staff. Good facilities on site including small shop with basics you may need/have run out of etc.

A aimé Spotlessly clean facilities and the owner kindly let me move from original pitch to one with a view. Was right next to Tarka Trail so would be perfect for cyclists. Easy to get to as well which is bonus.

A aimé Beautiful views, really friendly owner who came and found me when I got confused as to which way to go to get there. Spotless toilets/shower and added bonus of a microwave and kettle. Also area for washing up, tap to refill drinking water and bins for rubbish/recycling. Quiet spot and loved the fact there were some cute lambs in a pen nearby...who got some strokes every time I passed them to use facilities and encouraged me to make several trips, rather than do everything in one!!

A aimé Porlock Vale is a beautiful site, with stunning views. It was quiet and well maintained. The showers and toilets were very clean and there was an area to wash up and recycle/throw away rubbish. I was fortunate enough to meet the owner Dawn, who told me a little bit about the Exmoor Pony Project that she founded+runs. If you purchase bottled water/firewood at the campsite all proceeds go towards this not for profit organisation. Would highly recommend staying at this site if you're in the area!

A aimé It was quiet, there was a family or 2 there but not loads of kids. Essentially there were enough people to feel safe, but not so many it felt crowded+lacking privacy+peace. Horses in field next to camping field, beautiful sunset and lovely sleep...all for very good price.

N'a pas aimé I have my own toilet set up in van, so I wasn't too fussed with there being just a portaloo....but did use it on way out and got bit worried it was going to fall over lol. So just be careful using it at night. Not sure if it isn't level?
