A aimé Great communication from the owner Michel, who both emailed and texted very quickly after the booking was made. He gave clear guidance for us to just go ahead and find a suitable pitch and he would come and see us later. True to his word, he did a circuit of the campsite, politely introducing himself and checking to make sure all was well. Neither we or Michel were fluent in the opposite language but we got by quite happily! We liked the small size of the campsite in lovely quiet, rural countryside. The loos and showers are rustic but spotlessly clean (it is a campsite, after all!) Good campervan service area too. To top of off, a couple of deer bounced past as we were having our breakfast! Will definitely return. Thanks Michel for your hospitality!

A aimé What a beautiful campsite, with only a handful of fully serviced, touring pitches, thoughtfully situated to benefit from the spectacular views. The loos/showers/kitchen area is the best we have ever had in any campsite ever!! There was even a footstool in the shower for that annoying moment when your feet are wet but you want to put your trousers on! 🤣We will definitely be back.

Réponse du gestionnaire : Thank you very much Jayne for the excellent review. In the period of August we do a little animation in the central area of the camping to create moments of aggregation and entertainment that in any case we stop at 11.30 pm in order to have silence for midnight.

A aimé Where do I start? The only description I can think of for this site is gobsmackingly awesome scenery! I've never stayed in such a beautiful location and probably never will again unless we go back there (which we most definitely will!) The only thing to match the vista is the friendly welcome at reception. It speaks volumes that when we arrived there was a queue in there, mainly made up of people who were departing but wanting to thank the staff for an amazing experience. One person was leaving a box of stuff for somebody who was hiking towards the site and was expecting to arrive in a week or so, whilst another one was requesting a particular pitch number for the next 10 nights. The pitch that we were allocated was massive and very private with a little shade. We noticed great play area facilities for little ones, including a bouncy pillow thing that appeared to be popular. Plenty of activities for adults too - amazing hiking (lots of advice and info available from reception staff). Ski lifts from 8am-4pm. A few bars and restaurants in the little village a short walk away and I heard something about hiring scooters. There is also a good supermarket in the village plus a couple of other shops and tourist information. The facilities on the site were great - good loos and showers plus launderette and you can order fresh bread to be delivered to reception at 7.30am. Also free (very fast) WiFi. All in all a superb site. We originally booked for one night and on arrival immediately booked a second. Thanks for an amazing stay - I'm booking for a week next time!! P.S Forgot to mention: BLACK Squirrels! 🤯

A aimé Very helpful and friendly welcome, good sized, pleasant pitch. The owner apologized profusely about the rustic toilets and showers but they were fine for what we needed. We chose the site for its good location as a quiet and safe stopover and it served its purpose perfectly. Would definitely stop there again.

A aimé Although we booked this site as a means-to-an-end: 2 nights, for a base to visit Venice, we would definitely return for longer, just for the site itself. We normally go for more a rustic scene but Miremare has taken the blinkers off! The site was much quieter than we'd imagined it would be, despite its popularity and the pitches are spacious, shaded and pleasant. The staff who were amazingly friendly and helpful, explained about the free bus that takes you the 700m to the ferry terminal for Venice or to the beach in the other direction. Tickets for the ferry are available at the campsite reception and it works a bit like a London Oyster Card so you can use it on the Vaporetto once you are in Venice itself. We bought a 48 hour one, which costs 30 euros and it was worth its weight in gold! We never got to the beach as ran out of time but there will definitely be a next time! (NB. The free bus stops running at some point in the early evening but it's not a long walk between the ferry and the site). There is a lovely safe, laid-back holiday atmosphere about the place and facilities in the campsite are beautifully clean and well maintained. Toilets and showers are good; we were opposite the bar/snack area, which also looked sparklingly clean, though we didn't get an opportunity to go in there (so much to do!) Likewise we didn't get to use the pool but it looked great. We did do a couple of loads of washing: 4 euros - tokens at reception and also used the shop, which had everything we needed food-wise at very reasonable prices. There is even a fresh deli counter in there! Tip - buy your souvenirs in this shop rather than in Venice itself - exactly the same products but 30% cheaper! There is also a range of flip-flops, sun brollies and beach parafinalia in there. All-in-all Miramar provided everything we needed for our visit to Venice and much more. We might even return via flights and rent one of the little chalets next time. Thanks for having us! 😁

A aimé Beautiful quiet, rustic location, good sized pitch (easy to get the van in and out). Shaded, very safe and well maintained grounds. plenty to do - canoeing etc. (Excellent swing-ball facilities!!) Very friendly staff.

A aimé This is a beautiful site with spectacular sea view, super friendly and helpful owners and scrupulously clean toilet and shower facilities. Please note that it is a working farm and therefore there should be no expectation for a "housing estate in a field" type set up, this is fabulously rustic site for proper camping!
