A aimé Location was brilliant, very peaceful and some good walks in the area.

A aimé Very friendly staff, couldn't do enouigh for me. The toilet block was very new, very clean and couldn't fault it. Very convenient for the M5 motorway, perhaps 5 minutes from the nearest junction.

N'a pas aimé Nothing really, I suppose a bit more landscaping would be nice but that's all.

A aimé Location of this site is great for walkers, just of the disused railway line which takes you to Glasson in one direction and Lancaster in the other, some lovely views of the estuary from the line and great for bird watchers. Just next to the store is a garden centre which has a great dog friendly cafe and which is also open for breakfast. The site is fine and reasonably well laid out, the toilet block is new and well equipped.

N'a pas aimé The toilet block needs to be cleaned more regularly, to be honest I think the real issue is that there is no warden supervision and the facilities are not being respected by campers in the way that they would be on a CAMC or C&CC site. The showers would benefit from shelves to put your toiletries on. Lack of a warden is also an issue in case you want to report any issues. The site is a bit dark and would benefit from more lighting. The access road is a bit potholed and really needs some attention.

A aimé Location is quite good for the A1 so convenient for a stopover.

N'a pas aimé Very dated and primitive facilities and not very clean, needs a lot of money spending on them, otherwise assume you are using your own facilities. Access road is quite long and full of potholes, makes for a long, slowww approach to the site.

A aimé Reasonably convenient for the A1M when travelling South.

N'a pas aimé The site warden didn't seem to be expecting us and didn't believe they had a pitch available, but once the confusion was resolved all was ok. Facilities are ok, nothing special but as mentioned OK for a stopover. Couldn't imagine staying for a longer period.

A aimé The site is relatively close to the A1 and so we chose it for an overnight stay to break our journey, it is situated in the grounds of Kelham Hall which appears to be a local authority owned park, and very attractive.

N'a pas aimé We arrived in the evening and despite being informed about the site being well signposted, we didn't find a single sign for the campsite, so consequently struggled to find it. Even when we were parked next to it, we had to phone the site for directions as it was far from obvious. It is a bit of a free for all you just seem to pitch where you feel like it. The park was very noisy with traffic and some of the campers were incredibly noisy well into the early hours, there doesn't seem to be any rules or policing of behaviour on site. The facilities are quite basic but quite clean.
