A aimé We loved how friendly the owners were, showing us different pitches and explaining where everything we needed could be found on arrival.
We loved that the toilet and shower were brand new and kept sparkling clean every day.
We enjoyed being in a big field with only one or two transient neighbours whilst we were there.
We liked the space and how close it was to Cromer (about a mile walk into town)
Cromer itself had everything we could need in the way of shops to enjoy searching through and super markets for food supplies.
We loved the lifeguards on the beaches and how diligent they were.
N'a pas aimé We weren’t keen on the large number of rusting caravans, shipping containers and piles of scrap. There is also an enormous log pile which is not the safest thing to have around children. However, we understood this was a working farm from the beginning of booking so we were happy to accept that it wasn’t necessarily aesthetically appealing, but useful and necessary for farm life. Also my children are older so keeping them away from dangerous logpiles just required me to have a brief conversation with them, this might not be for people travelling with younger children.

A aimé Andrew was so friendly and welcoming. He made sure the site was clean and tidy with bins emptied twice a day, the toilets and showers were cleaned twice a day and the actual facilities were really top notch, hot showers aren’t always standard, but these were easy to use and piping hot.
The surrounding area is great, with loads of activities for all ages if that’s what you want to do. We just enjoyed walks along the breathtaking coast and fun on the beaches.
Bless Andrew, he truly went above and beyond when we’d packed up and our battery died. He jump started our car for us! We will be back next year with our extended family!

A aimé We loved how quiet it was, there were lots of countryside walks, amazing wildlife to see. The animals on the farm were lovely to have around and Caroline and family were happy to take the children around to see the cows and sheep.
The showers were a little temperamental on our stay, but very clean and any issues were dealt with quickly by our hosts. The toilets were in good condition, well maintained and cleaned daily.
The family rented out fire pits and sold wood for those that wanted to have off the ground fires.
There were bins for recycling glass, plastics and cardboard as well as a food waste bin well away from the pitches.
The children especially enjoyed watching the horses and we had the bonus of a farriers visit to watch too. The local area is incredible just a short drive to Lulworth cove, Durdle door, Tyneham village and Warborrow bay, Corfu castle and the amazing steam railway to Swanage. We had an incredible fun packed 4 days and loved having Phillios farm as our base. It was the perfect place to stay.
