A aimé Enjoyed two previous stays here. Ready access to the pub for meals and drinks was a real plus and made for an enjoyable stay. However.....

N'a pas aimé On this occasion the pub did not serve food on the two nights of our stay making our stay rather less enjoyable. Had the landlord advised on his website that this would be the case we would not have stayed on this occasion.

A aimé The pub; good beer and good food, albeit very limited to largely snacks. Nice staff. The site had the makings of a great place but, sadly, it was let down by poorly maintained facilities.

N'a pas aimé The pitches were rather close together but that wasn't too bad an issue. The main problem was the limited toilets (4) and showers (2) which were badly maintained. Too often there was no toilet paper and the waste bins were not emptied in the three days we were there so were constantly overflowing. There were no paper towels or hand drying facilities. The rubbish facilities were an eyesore with overflowing wheelie bins and a trailer used for excess waste.

A aimé The site was very neat and flat. The shower block was extensive and modern and kept clean. The onsite shop and cafe were useful additions. The dog walking field was great. Overall, the site was well placed for trips out although a car was essential.

N'a pas aimé More evening food vendors would be ideal as these are only available on two nights a week. The site was probably a little too remote for us.

A aimé The site was excellent albeit it was on a steep gradient which took some walking up. The pitches themselves were reasonably level. As well as a great pub there was a lovely cafe/farm shop on site. Getting something to eat was not a problem at any time of day. The food was a decent quality at reasonable prices. The facilities were somewhat limited with just two toilets and two showers. The showers were reserved for campers and were decent facilities. The two toilets were also used by cafe visitors and pub garden patrons so were often stretched and could have been maintained better, particularly regarding toilet roll supply. All the staff associated with the facilities from the landlord to the cafe operators and bar staff were helpful and very friendly.

N'a pas aimé The slope of the site was painful and the two camper toilets could be better, otherwise everything was superb.
