liked the club house very new and modern

could do with shower and toilet facilities down near touring pitch rather than having to walk alway up on the static park

Loved how close to the beach huts and the local little town is only a 20minute walk. The touring pitches are right next to the main Sandbanks restaurant which is great if you wanted a meal/drinks on site. Has a little shop with essentials and little Mersea Island gifts. Water tap on every pitch with the EHU. Friendly team. Great for young families - we don’t have kids so did find it a bit annoying sometimes with the kids riding up and down the road on their bikes screaming/crying/arguing 😂 but we were all kids once and we were out for most of the days so it was fine! (may not be suitable for those of you who like a peaceful break at the van most days though)

Showers and toilets were very dated and a bit of a walk to get to - weak bladders/bowels may struggle if you get caught short 😂 the showers were so cold (no heating) and then the water takes a while to heat up and it’s a push start shower so you have to keep turning around and pushing the button to keep the warm water going, not much room to manoeuvre in the actual cubicles and only one peg to hang everything off. Really disappointed that the restaurant isn't dog friendly inside.. there were sooo many dogs there as well - but if the weather is nice it’s not a problem as you can sit outside and eat 👍🏼 The shops in town were also a bit hit and miss with being dog friendly too. Phone signal is horrendous with no Wi-Fi but you’re on holiday so get off ya phone! 😂

Site clean and tidy. Well maintained.
Great location, almost on West Mersea beach. Lots of local walks close by. Friendly staff in Reception and on site.

Site had electric and tap for each pitch, but no drain. Bring a wastemaster with you.
One Elsan point for whole site, where you also dispose of waste grey water. Toilet block is 5 minute walk away, although you can use the Sandbanks facilities when open.
Dogs are NOT welcome in the bar or restaurant, which was disappointing, but we found a lovely pub, the Fox Inn, which was a 20 minute walk away, where our beloved border collie WAS welcome.
Elsan point paths would be useful, around perimeter of site, as crossing pitches is a No-No in camping etiquette.

Toilet and shower cubicles are horrible! cold, no heating at all. Luke warm water but that may have been because I was freezing.
Looked like they was put up in the 80’s and done nothing with since.. tiles falling off the wall in the toilets.
Wife had to shower with her crocs on so her feet didn’t get dirty!

Lovely site, great amenities, park for children to play, restaurant on site and right next to the beach!

Arcade needs some attention, few machines out of order, but helpful staff when problems occurred.

The Chef sent the waiter out to tell us we couldn't have butter on our jacket potatoes.the waiter was rude and when I asked again for butter he point blank said no.
I did not enjoy my food.

Near to the beach, quite roomy between the pitches and staff seemed really nice.
