A aimé The view is beautiful and the site is very quiet. Myself and son enjoyed walking down to the stream at the bottom of the field and playing in the woods making a den.

The site is very simple with a cold outdoor shower and outdoor tap. There are several portaloo toilets positioned around the field meaning you do not have to walk far to go to the loo and they are very well maintained with plenty of toilet roll and cleaned regularly.

I took a Flextail shower for a rustic outdoor hot shower which my son thought was wonderful and created a novel experience!

It is a fairly sloped site in places with some flatter areas, I took ramps for my camper which easily levelled it out.

Star spotting is fantastic with solar lights all around the field and fairy lights are on all the fences making it look pretty at night.

I loved the fact you can take a short walk to a lovely pub for food or take the 20 min bus for £3 into Newquay meaning you do not have to drive and have the hastle of parking in town.

The owners are very friendly and helpful, regularly checking on visitors offering fire pits, wood and marshmallows for sale.

A aimé So kind there really helped us the whole of our stay , really nice views and good sized field so you don’t feel so close to others , even had wood and marshmallows to buy if we needed it which we did and a fire pit

N'a pas aimé Road up to the campsite was very bumpy and rocky and had to reverse a lot whilst other people walking up or people in cars coming up the road , got very frustrating at times - no 4g at all.

Ref the lane if you look at the directions on Pitchup it takes you in the other way and it is a tarmac drive - a lot of people don't read this but it is a much better way to get in to the site. A aimé The fact it’s a running farm. My 3yr old twin sons absolutely loved seeing the animals in the fields.
Adrian, Richard and Sue were amazing hosts. Could not do enough to ensure we had a great stay. From the fantastic communication leading up to our stay ensuring we knew exactly where we were going and made sure we had everything we need ahead of our stay. To being fully available during our stay and checking in to make sure we were ok.

N'a pas aimé No phone reception or internet connectivity. But was fully aware of this before booking.

A aimé Seemed a nice peaceful place, unfortunately there were A LOT of flies and we couldn’t open the van doors or windows. We didn’t end up staying the night. Good value for money apart from the flies it would’ve been quiet enough and a nice place to stay.

Réponse du gestionnaire : With a light on at night if you open the window or doors you will attract flies. This will happen anywhere. If you open the door to your home and have the light on at night the same will happen. There is no issue with flies. You’re the only person to have said this out of 54 reviews and I will treat this comment with the contempt it deserves as it is based on no fact just pure ignorance.

A aimé Really liked how friendly everyone was. The site was basic but everything needed was there. Sometimes it is good to go back to basics.

A aimé Really good location, bus and train to Newquay from the village centre - 10 -15 min walk. Pretty quiet and calm. Toilets clean and outdoor shower and excellent idea.

A aimé Owner was really sound and helped us with our tent we borrowed and let us know all transport links etc. Campsite itself was perfect and relaxed, and very close to a pub and bus stop!
